Checking in for Christmas Cruise question

Get your tickets when you board. We cruise every Christmas and last Christmas I registered as soon as I walked on-board. They gave me a ticket for the stateroom and we all attended. There have been years where I forgot to register, one year as Concierge, and it was an ordeal trying to get tickets once they were at capacity. They managed to fit us in due to a cancellation.

You can take it to your stateroom or eat it if you like too.
Thanks!! Our boarding time is 11:30 so a little concerned line will be crazy or nothing left. We'll give it a try!!

Your Port Arrival Time is 11:30. You won't get your boarding number (tied to your PAT) until you check in at the port.

Oh, so even later!! Oh well, hopefully we'll be able to get tickets for that but won't be too disappointed if not available as we were able to reserve all the other events we wanted.

Check in at the port begins around 10:30. Boarding numbers are assigned based on your PAT. Actual boarding begins around 11:15-11:30 with Concierge and Platinum Castaway Club members, followed by the announcement of boarding numbers. The next number is generally announced every 5-10 minutes, depending on how quickly the line is moving.

Once the number being announced for boarding catches up with the number being issued at check in Open Boarding is called. Anyone holding any boarding number may board. This typically happens around 12:30-12:45.

Pretty much everyone (not arriving from WDW resorts) is onboard by 1:00 at the latest.

Thanks!! Good to know!!!

The earlier your PAT, the earlier you will board based on my experience. Those little cards with the number 2 on them are so valuable to me and I would have paid extra to have. My favorite perk of Platinum is the first boarding. Every extra minute I can get on-board I will take! :)

I see you've taken Alaska cruise with Disney. We're considering that for next year but have two young granddaughters (ages 4 and 2 next year). Wondering if we should wait for alaska until they're a bit older, how was your Alaska experience?
We loved it! There are lots of different options for all sorts of age groups. The kids loved the clubs and the pool. They were never very crowded. We would love to go back when they are older or with out the kids and do the more adventures exertions.

This Bahamas cruise will be a completely different experience for us. We are expecting way more kids and warmer weather. (I like it cold).
