I have a trip coming up with a large-ish group. I am the planner and the only one with an MDE account, so I made all of the dining reservations. A few people who have never been to Space 220 want to eat there, but the rest of us who have done it before don't feel like going back. I made the reservation for those who are going so I am listed as the lead guest. It used to be that I could make a reservation in this situation and choose whomever I wanted from my F&F list as lead guest. I could also modify it later to show the correct person. Neither of these options is available anymore. Will it be an issue if I am elsewhere when my family members try to check in?

Thank you for asking this question! I'm in the same situation for an upcoming trip, but with 'Ohana. I'd noticed the same change re: the lead guest and F&F list and also wondered whether it would be an issue. In my 30 years of going to WDW I don't recall ever being asked for ID at check-in so I figured it was probably going to be ok, but it's comforting to know that others agree. :)

In my case I was worried about it because I recall the check in at Space 220 being somewhat unique. I can't recall the procedure exactly but I was concerned that they might scan a Magicband before letting guests into the "Space" elevator.
