You can check in and get your resorts ID's, but there might not be a room ready for you yet. If getting into a room immediately or asap is important to you, don't make any specific view or room set up requests, or be willing to be flexible.
I'm batting .500.
I have been to WDW resosrts two times and arriving at the resort (ASSp) arround noon. I was given my room one time right away the other time it was ready by 4pm. They give you all of your resort passes and store your baggage. So you can go off park or resort hopping or lay arround the resort pool waiting for the room.
Chrissy,
We always check in early We go to our resort, check in, drop off the luggage, and hit the parks. By the time we are ready for dinner, we head back to the hotel and go to our rooms. The front desk will give you a number that you can call to see if your room is ready. If it's not, stay at the park and have a good time.
