Checking in early ???'s

We will be checking in early to CSR this trip. We then need to get the car over to National at the CCC. I understand Disney will store our luggage and groceries till the room is ready and we can go off to the parks. Do they give you your room key at that time?
Or do I need to check back in at the desk when we get back to pick them up? Does Disney deliver your luggage to the room before that time? Or will we need to wait for it to be brought up?
I'm trying to decide if we will need to come back to the resort b/4 park closing or can stay to see the only scheduled Spectro during our stay

When we got there early, we were given our keys and a card with a phone number on it, to call after one to see if our room was ready. Our "stuff" was in our room when we got back.

Good luck with returning your car and getting to where you want to be... It's too far to walk anywhere from the National Car location. You have to wait until it is "convenient" for them to take you to: MK, your hotel etc.

On 1 trip we opted to rent a car for 2 days. The day of arrival, and the day of departure. NEVER AGAIN! While I have successfully rented from National a number of times for business, it was terrible.

I would say drop off your stuff with Bell services and go enjoy the parks and spectromagic! Sometimes on early checkin, we've lucked out and had a room ready for us (earlier than 8AM on one occasion). Otherwise we've been given a key and a phone number to call to see if the room is ready. Sometimes the luggage has been moved to the room by the time we arrived, other times they wanted us to call Bell Services when we wanted it delivered, which usually only took 10 or 15 minutes. (I'm not sure if these differences are from resort to resort, or due to changing policies over time.)
