Would there be a difference in the room? We do have guaranteed BW view. When we switch resorts I usually stop at the new resort to checkin before we head to a park. The room isnt usually ready but at least we're checked in. Because we're so short on time in March we werent going to checkin until after lunch. Will there be a big difference in the room assignment? It will be a Wed so Im thinking no

With a Wednesday check-in and a BW view, I don't think it will make a lot of difference if you check-in early morning or early afternoon. Unless it is during a major travel time, like Spring Break.

Whats the deal with checkin at BCV on a Sunday (I assume it's a big check in day). We won't be getting to the resort until about 7 pm. What should we expect and what do we do to get a decent room. We have requested high floor / non smoking.

Chuck - Its Spring break! Also cheerleaders will be on property!

Then I think I would try to check-in earlier, if possible. Either way, you're probably much better off being a littl elate on a Wednesday than you would be on a Sunday.

The great majority of all DVC rooms are non-smoking...it is rare to be placed in a smoking room, though it can happen. High floor may be a little more "iffy" later in the day. It depends upon how many folks want an upper floor room.

I don't think it's going to make much difference what time you check in. Most check ins/outs at the DVC resorts are on Sundays, followed by Friday and Saturday.

Wednesday is not a big day for check outs or check ins, so availability is going to be the limiting factor. IMHO, there aren't going to be a lot of "vacant" BW view rooms to choose from on a Wednesday - especially during a busy spring break period, since most visit for the whole week.

My advice is to check in when it's convenient for you and also to quit worrying about it (if you can). FWIW, when's it's busy, BWV pretty much preassigns the rooms, anyway. It's out of your control.

I agree. We have noticed that when we arrive Mon-Thurs. there are limited rooms available, but easier to get what we want when we arrive on the weekend. We don't stress about it anymore. I'm just happy to be at WDW.

BTW, how do you get a guaranteed BW view???

Boardwalk views are now a separate booking category, so you can actually reserve one when you call MS.

The BW views cost the same number of points as the other Preferred views, which are now known as Pool/Garden. Since less than 20% of the total number of rooms at the BWV are Boardwalk view, they do tend to book quickly - many members call day by day as soon as their 11 month window opens to reserve them.

Best wishes -
