This was very confusing when my friend first approached me with this, so I am going to try to keep it simple.
4 families are all going together to Disney World next October. All are staying at Pop Century. The reservations are all connected in that we will have 5 separate rooms, but are there as a group. Each room has their own reservation.
3 families will be flying. One family is driving 23 hours down.
Now for my question...The family driving is considering letting their kids, ages 18 and 12, take the plane with us instead of the long car ride. We get there in 3 hours by plane. Once we arrive, can they use Magic express, check into the hotel, or at least get their park tickets and meal vouchers to accompany us in the parks until the parents arrive by car? We are trying to figure things out so the parents arrive around the same time we do, but this is the first time they will be driving so I am trying to plan on what I can do if they are later than we plan. We know anything can happen, car break down, getting lost, ect, so I just want to be prepared on what to do with the kids.
Also for the 12 year old, do I need any documentation for bringing her on the plane or for once we get to Disney at the hotel? I want to say yes to them coming with us, but I don't want to be stuck with them being in the hotel lobby or in my room until the parents show up. It would be perfect if the 18 year old can check them in, get the tickets, and we can just take them to the parks when we're ready
