Checking Carpet Bags

We purchased two Disney Carpet bags this year. Has anyone used them as checked luggage. Do they do well, or are they too easily distroyed?

I checked my Disney Carpet bag last summer and it was fine.

Packing them lightly will probably help the wear and tear factor.....
