Last August, we used points to stay at the Yacht Club for a Mother/Daughter solo trip. For our return home, we processed our luggage at the Yacht Club and didn't have to deal with it at the airport.

Is that service available at SS or OKW? We are booked into SS but on the Wait List for OKW and BCV for Christmas/New Year's.

Thanks so much!

Depends on your airline. If you are on SW then OKW might not be ready for SW baggage using RAC. They have to expand the storage area for bags before you can use RAC with your luggage. If you want to use RAC and dont want to take the chance then stay at SSR. I know how you feel. OKW is my favorite but we are going to WL this time so we can use RAC since we only fly SW.

Thanks for the reply Joxer1014...........Is that Remote Airline Check In??

And, is there a list of which airlines have a relationship with WDW?

I may be wrong on this but I believe once an airline is participating then you can check your bags at any RAC (Resort Airline Check-in) located at all the resorts. I know that OKW is currently under renovation but that it does have an alternative one located elsewhere near the HH.

Participating airlines: AirTran, Alaska, American, Continental, Delta/Northwest, JetBlue, United and USAirways. Southwest is being offered as part of a test for guests staying at: Animal Kingdom/Jambo & Kidani, the All Star Music, Sports, & Movies, Beach Club, Boardwalk, Contemporary, Coronado Springs, Ft. Wilderness, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Pop Century, POFQ, PORS, Saratoga Springs, Wilderness Lodge, Yacht Club.

This information is taken from the flyer I received 3 wks. ago regarding RAC. If you are flying SW and are staying at OKW, I would call OKW directly to verify if you can use RAC. Perhaps by the time of your vacation since the OKW RAC renovation should be finished, SW will be added.

We stayed at the BCVs and used the RAC at the Beach Club and I think that applies to any of the DVC properties closely tied to a specific hotel (BWVs, VWL).

Hope this helps. Have a great vacation!:)

We just back from a stay at THV and tried to use RAC at SSR. The lines were so bad that after waiting 1 hour and 10 minutes, we got out of line and just used the kiosk at the airport which took less than 5 minutes. We had a horrible wait the last time we tried to use it at SSR also. With the size of the resort and the number of people checking out each day, it would be nice if they enlarged the service there.

Oh the joys of SSR.... I don't know why we stand for it?

We just used the RAC yesterday at SSR and had a very small line in which to wait. Perhaps it has more to do with the time we were there. We were in line sometime between 9 to 9:30 am. We flew SW.
