Is there any way to check AAA rates and availability on-line anymore? I'm looking for May 3 at any of the Universal resorts.

I liked the old Universal booking site much better!!!

Just use your AAA website. It should have an online booking area.

I see HRH at 242, pbh at 239 and rph at 191

My local AAA website doesn't have any of the three hotels listed. Anyone know why?

Make sure you call Loews to book with AAA in case you are entitled to any upgrades!!!

OK, thank you. I didn't think of that. I called Lowe's, but didn't even think to mention the AAA card. I was happy because the person on the end of the phone found an "obstructed view" at the HRH for 274/night, I think. We are going in June, and that was the cheapest that I've seen so far. On the Canadian AAA website, I can see better rates. **I just called and was able to get a garden view at the Portofino Bay for 239. There was nothing available for that night in either of the other 2 hotels.

Cheaper AAA rates on the Canadian site? If only Costco would let us Canucks get the 3 month deal!

and don't forget to tell them you have the loews first card when you book.

if you don't have the card yet, apply for it on line.

if you don't have the card when you go to the hotel, call loews first back and they will give you the confirmation number.
that will be accepted at the hotel.

now you are good to go.
you have the AAA and loews first card!

I've booked rental cards through the Costco US site. I wonder if we could get the 3 month deal?

Damo, I tried to order online, but it requires a US state when setting up your acct. I then called Costco in the states to see if there was a way around this and was told no.

I checked the Canadian site and there isn't anything like it there, so I guess we are out of luck for the 3 month passes. Oh well.

if there were any costco around me and i was a member, i would surely help you out and buy them for you up in canada.

yup, i would.

anyone on the boards have membership to costco?

want to create a thread for costco members?

I live in NE Pennsylvania, and we don't have Costcos either, or I would have been happy to help you. You all have really helped me out with my Universal planning!! I called back and got the obstructed view at the Hard Rock for 246 with the AAA rate. The Portofino is 239, so it's not much different. I think for that amount, I'll let the kids decide which they'd rather stay at. We've stayed at the Hard Rock before, so maybe they'll want to try something new. Of course, with my luck, one kid will pick HR and the other PB!! :) I'm going to keep trying. Maybe something will open up at RP that is even cheaper. We already purchased our tickets when we ordered tickets to see the Blue Man Group. If there's anything that I can do to help any of you, please let me know.

I am a Costco member but I must have missed something - not sure what this 3 month deal is??
Fill me in and I will check their website:cool1:

i am not a member of costco but have read about them on the UO threads.

costco members has a special where a member can buy a special costco universal pass for a cheap price. the pass is valid for 3 months for universal.
no tickets to buy at the gate, it's a pass in the order of the aph but with restrictions.

the canadians can't buy the costco pass and we were hoping someone that is a universal homie or friend could help the cause for them.

can you check the costco website and see what the particulars are?

After having a look at the Costco website and not finding any offers for Universal Orlando, I found this on Mousesavers.

Costco Discounts

The membership warehouse store Costco sometimes has great deals on Universal tickets.

At times Costco offers Universal ticket deal on its web site and you don't even have to be a Costco member to buy through the site. (Non-members pay a 5% surcharge, however.) There is a shipping charge, which varies.

OK after looking further I found this!

Who would this pass benefit? A local? Someone that is planning more than one trip in a 3 month period? Does it offer discounts like an AP? I'm guessing no. Seems like a curious little pass.
