We are doing a land/sea combo using disney transport, and should bypass "normal" check in. However, our bus does not depart the Poly until noon. That puts us at the boat around 1:30.

We really wanted to get our little munchkin into Flounders nightly so mommy and daddy could eat a meal in peace (our 5 yr old should be able to handle a meal if he can tear away from his play group.)

Will we be SOL on getting spaces? Are there alternatives (besides getting a taxi/limo/cab?)

Thanks!

We were just on the 4 day last week. We used Flouder's Reef and were very happy. If I remember correctly they do not open until about 1:30. So if you go straight there you should have no problems. They have you fill out a paper requeting your times and then number them in order of importance. We had no problem getting all requested times. They call you each day to confirm your times.

The number of times you can use Flounders depends on the number of infants on board the ship. We recently cruised on the 7-day, and were only granted the top three choices since the ship was so full! I recall from filling out the form that on a 3/4 day, you can list your #1 priority, versus on a 7 day you can list your top three priorities.

Good luck!

Are you aware that there are no seat belts on the buses, so there is no way to use a car seat? For this reason, we used Happy Limo and were very pleased. Just a little safety concern for us having to hold DD (8 mos) from MCO to PC, let alone the nightmare of restraining her in a new environment!

Depending on how many transfers you have to purchase, alternate means of transportation is nearly the same price! Compare prices!!

Also, do not go on this cruise expecting to get into Flounders every night! I think we were on the same cruise as Redpants, and we only were allowed 3 times (2 night, 1 day)!! I know that on Sunday night, there were so many requests that not all of the "priority" people got in.

Have fun!

I do not think 1:30 is too late to get Flounders time for your baby. Like it was said above it basically depends on how many infants or toddlers are on your cruise and how many parents on the cruise will even want to use Flounders. Some people go on their cruise and never even use the nursery or the childrens clubs. This is why they they determine who gets what after everyone signs up, to give every one a chance to have at least "some" time in the FR. I think they kind of have it averaged out where everyone will get some time in FR, gettting there early only make insure that you get the exact days you want. Remember you are on vacation though so flexibility makes it more relaxing. Have fun.
