Checkers Restaurants: Put Your Cat In A Bag

Cats put themselves in paper bags all of the time. The loud and crinkliness doesn't seem to bother them at all. Heck cats seem to seek out such items.
FTR... I'm not advocating dressing cats up in bags, I just don't see it as being a big deal, especially considering the things my cats have put themselves in over the yrs, including paper bags.

My cats like prowling around large brown grocery bags. They would not like a sandwich/fast food sized bag actually attached to their bodies that they can't escape from. Cats don't like anything restrictive like that. It's why they're generally bad with harnesses and why you don't see many people out in parks taking their felines for a walk!

I'm sorry but I think the whole thing is :rotfl2: . No, of course I wouldn't do it to my cat because she would bite me ;). But I have dressed up other cats in dolls clothing. People dress their dogs (and I'm sure some cats) in goofy little outfits. What's the difference? :confused3

I can't eat there. I used to be a manager of Checkers so I know how nasty those places really are. I had to quit after just a few months. It makes me sick to even drive by one.

If a person decide's to do something that their cat does not like, it is the cat owner's fault, Checkers didn't make them do anything.

Whether or not it is abuse is debateable. It is not really physically harming the cat. We make people do plenty of things they don't like or is uncomfortable, such as put handcuffs or restraints on, and it is not considered abuse. While I wouldn't do it to my cat, I'm not going to condemn anyone who has.

My cat tries to stuff himself in kleenex boxes. He climbs into paper bags of all sizes (even ones that are too small and he ends up "wearing" it). I guess because he is choosing to do these stupid things on his own it's not abuse. Or should I be worried?

Your cat is a masochist. :sad2: Therapy.

You beat me to it... :rolleyes1

My cat runs into bags all the time and hides in them, but I wouldnt stuff him into a bag

I think stuffing a cat into a bag is a lot different than a cat playing in a bag/box on it's own. And it's also different than putting them into a carrier, which is normally done for their own well being or safety.

My kid brother used to think it was hillarious to put a laundry basket over our dog to put her in jail...I thought that was mean as well. It didn't hurt her, but she always looked so pathetic.

I think it's actually kind of funny. I can just picture my sisters putting "George" my families outdoor cat into a bag.

I will say the video in the OP of those crazy cats, good Lord they look possessed!
