My husband and I are staying at POR in late April - I stayed there a couple times as a kid with my family so it will be very nostalgic for me. 🥰 We are staying in a king bed room - looking for others experiences in this type of room. From what I’ve read, these rooms are mostly if not all in Alligator Bayou. Any building I should request? Preferred isn’t an option with the king rooms. Would love to hear from others who have stayed in this type of room!

We had one for our honeymoon years ago. It was in Magnolia Terrace, on a corner, and I think 2nd floor.

We booked two rooms, one king room and one two queen room, connecting. They were in AB. The location was fine for us, kind of secluded but still close to everything. IIRC they were on the ground floor.

We've stayed in a king bed room that was a corner room. The corner rooms are nice. The rooms are lighter and you only have one neighbor. :)

We were upgraded to one last weekend. It was a corner room in AB in building 38, right across from Ol'Man Island. We really enjoyed the space of the room and our location was close enough to a bus top and we were able to walk over the bridge to the main building.

POR is our favorite resort hands down. My wife and I have stayed there at least 11 times. We have never stayed at the bayou section and we always ask for a mansion room and a king bed. The only time we havent gotten a king was when we stayed in a princess room (once and done) and a short notice stay where we got 2 queens. There was a really knowledgeable gentleman on the boards that is THE Expert on POR and POFQ that had inside information of current events, happenings and full architecture drawings of each building. His name is Andrew if I remember correctly. He runs an excellent website dedicated to the 2 resorts, but I dont want to break the rules here by posting the url.

You wouldn't be breaking any rules so here it is. His name is Andre, @andrewilley

And yes, his site is fantastic.
