Checked 'mypoints' lately??? Go daily!

My local Walgreens store will not let you pay for a GC with anything other than cash. So check the policy at your local store before you get a Walgreens GC with the intention of "trading it in."

My store wasn't sure but she told me she would try it b/c th cash register makes the rules not her - and it worked!!!!!

If you store says no - ask them to at least try and see if it works.

Wow! I hadn't heard of that at all. I've been with them just shy of 11yrs now so I'd be really pissed if they up and closed my acct for no reason!

And I have almost 8k in points saved up. I'd better cash in as soon as possible to cover myself.

Basically what has been happening is for people who are active on gpt sites. There are random questions in surveys that ask something along the lines of, "Would you like to save money and get cash back"...etc..just that, no company name. You didn't know you were actually requesting for Mypoints until you got a confirmation email...non of which were clicked to activate the account.

So, mypoints saw the add'l emails associated with the active account email's ip address and or name/physical address and closed them. Even though there was only activity on one account.

I'm investigating now with the BBB and the merchants that I didn't get my points from to see if mypoints refunded them, otherwise mypoints is the one committing fraud.

I've only had the points in there since just before Christmas- I drained my account then, because of Christmas gifts...Then, I did C-mas shopping through MPoints- got more points. I am excited. I did not know that I could (possibly) use a Walgreens gc to buy another gc that they sold...I will have to check on that. Our store here is very 'rules happy' so I don't know if it would work for me. ANNNNNDDD, If it didn't work for me, I'd be stuck using a walgreens gc for wg stuff- that wouldn't be a good deal for me.

I am so glad to hear that people actually win them! I've had an account for 10 years and always do those things and never win! Geez, I can't get that, can't get a darn pin from Disney, and people at work wonder why I won't go to the casino or join their lottery pool!

You get points for e-mails and shopping. They have lots of online shopping. I also got an e-mail a few weeks ago for a new point earning opportunity where you sign-up your credit card and when you use it for specific things you automatically get points. One of the place was DCL. You get points for using your credit card to purchase a land/sea cruise.

YIPPIE - I won 5 points 2x's now... after this morning... WOOT WOOT I think I would pee my pants if I won 5000 or more... WOWO Congrats - at least we all now its possible!!! I love my points - I have been struggling a little of late trying to get some points for some Office Depot purchases and a 1000 Bonus Points that I was told I would get if I made an order from OD (I actually made two) - But Still I love mypoints and love the FREE gift cards!!!! Yeah, i like the Kohls G.C.s too! Maybe instead of getting the Visa one i should get the Kohls one and buy the girls some new shorts for our trip. My DD8 has grown out of every pair of shorts she has, so she definately needs some. DD6 should get a pair or two and I need some because I lost weight since last summer...all mine are toooooo biggg!

The Kohls $50 g.c. is 2,000 points LESS than the darn visa one! I have enough to buy that one now!

Yeah, I do bzz too! Those points add up quickly! I don't get that many done a week- it's maybe 3-5, but I need to do more!!! I'd like some more points!
