has anyone had experience putting their aerosolized products in their checked luggage I have always put them in my carryon thinking the pressure in the baggage area would not be good for them we plan on bringing the new spray sunscreen with us next week because we feel it protects us better than lotion. any advice or experience with placing these types of items in checked luggage?? :confused3

Thanks

We're planning to do the same thing when we leave on Sat. I plan on checking a few cans of aerosol sun screen. I asked my Dad since he is a former commercial (and now private) pilot. He said they should be fine in the baggage hold because the baggage hold is pressurized somewhat (they have to do this for any animals that may be traveling down below). He said at least the forward compartment should have some pressurization. He didn't think the aerosol cans would burst. I will be packing anything that can leak in ziplock bags however, and will be packing all toiletries in a separate checked bag (separate from any clothing). Think about all the packages that commerical airlines carry for the USPS or other companies too. Many of those items would also need some pressurization to arrive in tact at their destinations.

Thanks i figured they would be ok but i would not want to get to the resort and find ziplock bags full of sunscreen or pay resort prices for it!
THANKS!
