So we went to Disney in Sept/Oct for our very first visit. When we returned I immediately called my TA and booked for December 2008 at the Poly.

So this morning I accidently opened my spam mailbox and there was an e-mail from Disney with a pin code "just for the (my last name) family". So I called my TA and sure enough it worked. We had to shift our dates by one day but we saved, are your ready....

$800! :yay:

I was so excited. I did not expect this at all! So be mindful of your spam/bulk mail box! If I did not open it by accident, I would not have an extra $800 to spend at Disney next year.

Thanks for letting me share my excitement! :cheer2:

I just accidentally deleted an email addressed to my family: "A special offer for the ***** Family about your upcoming trip!:sad1: I didn't even get to read it! We booked directly through Disney Destinations--Any clue if there is anyone I could call? Or email? We have never had a pin code, I'm so upset! Well, at least we're going in 2 weeks!:cool1:

Yes, the code will be in the system next to your name. Just call them to find out the information.

Good Luck!!

They couldn't help me!:confused3 I told her I had emailed Disney Destinations, and she told me I'd be better off waiting to hear via email since they sent it to me! I just want to know what I missed!

Help me...I'm a computer nerd...how do I check my spam box??? I better NOT have deleted a pin code!!!!

If you're laughing at me, I'm seriousl....I don't know where my spam box is!!!!!!! Or are you pulling my leg and there is no such thing?

I'm sorry! I thought you were teasing me! I had to get my 13 year old to try to help me because my computer wiz DH isn't home. It is called Spam, or maybe your bulk mail folder, but once it is deleted, it is gone forever! That's why I am so upset with myself! Sorry again, I'd never laugh at anyone but myself!!

That's ok...but I was not teasing, and I still don't know where to look even after what you've told me! Any more help?

You could call Disney, like one of the other Disers recommended I do. Maybe you'll have better luck?:confused3

I guess I'll have to. I do that ever so often, to see if I can change the ressie I already have. Never have had a code by my name so far, and never have received an email for one either!

First, not every email provider has the spam/bulk mail. And with some you have to specify your security to activate it.

So you might not have one.

If you do, when you open your email you should have a two sided screen. One that shows folders, one that shows whats in the folders.
Do you have that kind of screen?

If I may ask, what is the PIN specifically for & what dates are allowed? I always empty my bulk mail without opening it. Last time I called Disney to see if I had a code and I did....I guess I didn't think to look again because I just got in on the public code for the ticket package.
Maybe this is better?

I do have one side of the screen showing folders, but there is not one indicating bulk mail, so I guess my provider doesn't do that.

Not every email from Disney Destinations is a PIN code email. But if it was, it will be in the system under your address. There is a good chance the CM you spoke to thought you SENT an email to Disney Destination, not that you GOT one.

Call again. Tell the CM you received an email about a discount for your household and would like more information about it. If it is in the system, they should be able to find it for you.

I do have one side of the screen showing folders, but there is not one indicating bulk mail, so I guess my provider doesn't do that.

And that means that you get ALL your email in your inbox. Good and SPAM stuff. So if Disney sends you an email, it'll be in your inbox.

I've not gotten one either. And I'm signed up for everything you can think of and purchase from DisneyShopping all the time. Not sure what it takes to get the special code. :confused3

I don't know either, but seems like somebody once suggested that maybe there were mailouts to certain regions of the country. I'm in the south, and I see you're in Ohio. If that were the case, then the mailouts are to the west of us! Or New England...
