I just checked our flights for July 31 that I booked a few weeks ago. They have already gone down! The original fare was 205.00 RT, they are now 191.00. Saved 70.00 for the whole family. Go check!!

Wow! Thats great!
The flights I booked a couple weeks ago have doubled in price, but I will definitely keep checking. Thanks for the heads up!

Good for you. My holiday trip in December between Christmas and New Years Day just went from $215 RT on SONG to $345 RT on SONG. I am happy I purchased when I did. Continental wants $500+ for a non stop from Newark.

Jillpie, You are absolutely awesome! I just went in to the delta website and checked my July reservations and YES, we each saved $100 on our flights (and there are 3 of us flying so that's $300!) Now I have $100 vouchers for each of our flights for next April when we go on our 1week WDW and 1week Disney Cruise! I am absolutely totally grateful. You are the best.

I'm so glad I could help. Good for you!!!! And I am extremely jealous of your cruise, that is my dream. :D

What are vouchers? Does that mean if I booked my airfare for $185 and then it goes down, I can get a "voucher" for the difference? But then what if it goes down some more? I don't know if I'm understanding correctly.

You are correct. If your fare goes down, you do not get cash, you get vouchers from the airline that gave you the ticket. In Delta's case, you must use your vouchers toward another flight within one year. Yes, you can get further vouchers if your flight continues to go down. I have already recieved two sets of vouchers on the same flight!

I wish this could happen to me but I think my flights will not go down again before our trip.

I bought at 327 days out for November 29 - December 7 at $181 total and my DH thought I should wait! Well, it's now $380 for that same flight!

I think it's because the first weekend is Thanksgiving weekend.

Could someone post more details about the 'checking' and the voucher system please? I just booked a flight today.

I am also confused about the voucher program. I booked a flight for 201.00 and last week it went down to 191.00. When I called Delta and asked about the voucher they told me I wasn't entitled to one. That 201.00 was the price i had agreed to pay. Do you think I just got a rep that didn't know what she was talking about. I know that $10 isn't really that big of a deal, but it is for 3 tickets.
