We are fortunate in that we own several contracts at 5 different resorts. We added another VWL contract through resale and closed on 10/2.

We have been waiting for Disney to add the contract to our account but every time I called, I was told that they are running behind with posting resales.

Yesterday I called and was told the same thing, I asked that the MS Adviser to search by name and he found an additional member ID for us. Today I found out that the Post Closing Team Member gave us another account because when she checked our first deed recorded through Disney, they made an error on our title even though we have made sure that all of our contracts were titled the same.

Disney admits that they made a mistake by not catching that our first contract was under the same membership as our others. They have suggested that I check all of our deeds and take the matter up with our Guide.

Bottom line is, don't take for granted that your contracts were titled correctly, double check and correct them before it creates a legal issue.

At the risk of sounding totally naive, do you mean check the paperwork that DVD sent (i.e. my copy of the deed) or should I be checking something else?

Congrats on the add-on!

Bill- I Touch gives limited views so signature not included. Enjoy your new home resort. My husband and I hope to try it out soon.

I didn't think of someone not using a computer to access the DIS. We own at BWV, BCV, AKV, VWL, and BLT.

Here is an update. The new contract has been added to our master contract but they still haven't loaded the points yet. I will wait another day and give them another call.

You're lucky. In the past when they have mistakenly not linked contracts, they've generally refused to link them later.

Update, points were loaded today and they are correct.

Now I have to go through our deeds, find out which ones are titled incorrectly, and decide what to do.

If DVC has them linked to your single master contract, I'd suggest you not change the deeds unless you plan to for other reasons anyway.

My concern is the tenancy, Florida law, and probate. I have found out that Florida Courts have jurisdiction over our DVC ownerships and depending on tenancy, they will require a probate hearing in Florida.

Bill,
What was the error? Was it a spelling error on your name?
