Hi,

I check my eBay account status everyday because my account was hijacked in 2002 and that's how I caught it - seller's fees showed up and I wasn't a seller at the time.

ANYWAY, when I checked today, my sellers fees had more than DOUBLED! There is a glitch in the eBay billing system and it seems to be double billing for the last two weeks of February; ie, the fees for these weeks are on both the February and March invoices.

I viewed my account status by transaction (auction) number and saw quite clearly that all the fees I incurred during this time period were all billed twice.

I hope this gets straightened out; I emailed them right away with a detailed list of the auction numbers and the amounts that were double billed. I received a canned response, but will follow up again tomorrow.

Sorry if this was already posted, but I wanted to give a heads up to all the hardworking DIS eBayers!

I don'tsee a place to view it by transaction, rather than date..how are you doing that? I don't see anything out of the ordinary on mine..all of my aucition numbers are down there several times, but that's because they billed me for insertion, buy it now, gallery, etc. The only different I see is that now the different items are not all together. For instance they'll show 4 insertion fees, then four gallery's, etc.

I've just checked out Vendio, Power sellers and Yahoo ebayers..and so far no mention of this. Maybe you got hijacked again?

I saw this info on the ebay boards as well, and they indicate that if your billing date is the 1st, you've been double billed. I thought my bill was too high, but I haven't had a chance to really review it.
Hopefully they'll fix it soon.

I'm pretty sure I wasn't hijacked again - there are no new transactions after March 6 and all the auctions before that time are my own. There are just double billings for the last two weeks of February.

Go to the "Account" tab in my eBay. Under "Account Activity" click on "View account status," then view your account status "For a period (up to 4 months)." I used 02-01-2004 through today. This will allow you to sort account activity by date, fee type or item number. Mine clearly shows the fees listed twice for the last two weeks of February.

Anyone else found anything?

This has happened before and Ebay was very good about crediting the over charge. When it happened to me I think it took about two days to get worked out.

I could go right up til here..but I don't see anything that allows me to click on it to allow this:
"This will allow you to sort account activity by date, fee type or item number"

I just see (in the green header) Date, type, item, credit, debit, etc..but they are just solid black font and not clickable. I see that starting in March, the aucitons themselves are now clickable, so you can see what the charge is for.
