Be sure to list every address that you had...
If they send you a form to prove that you lived at that address your credit report has them listed... ( I called to see if they would except that as proof much easier because they were all listed in one place)

I checked myself (nothing) and my daughter and for her it had 20 shares of Disney stock. I'm confused , we possess all her stock certificates. Her stock is a gift from her Great Grandmother every year in my daughters name, nothing ever sold or lost.

So now I have to find a way to contact and figure out whats going on, I would hate for her to lose her money.

They have an area you place a dot in the circle listed checking for
deceased relative .. ( when you file the claim)

I have moved, within California, within 10 miles even.

I guess I was just surprised to find her items on the site. I can't imagine there will actually be any problems straightening it out since we have all her certificates with her name on them.

I am thrilled I found the site. I just wish I found money for me, oh well.

Put in famous people's names in California. "Walt Disney" is owed some $13,000, lots of vendors owe money to the DisneyChannel and someone owes Arnold Schwarzenegger some money too.

I wonder if it might have occurred from a stock split (The last split was June 19, 1998 3 for 1)? Have you been getting your dividend checks each year? I wonder if they have your correct address on file.

What can you do if your find something but they claim it isn't you?

I filed a couple of years ago for some money in Virginia. My sister and I lived there for a year as kids (a loooong time ago--we were Army brats) and we both have money listed from the same three places, correct first/last names and middle initials. They said it wasn't us. I'm sure it is but perhaps some of the info I sent isn't what they are looking for. Remember, this was before kids had SS#'s and I'm hoping the old address I sent in was the only place we lived.

Maybe I need one of those companies that will get it for a fee...?
