Hello fellow Disney Friends!
So we are going to WDW in November and my 180 mark it tomorrow morning... and here is what we have scheduled. We are on Deluxe dining so trying to do some big ticket ones... we are plain and simple people (steak and potatoes) so let me know if you have any other suggestions! TIA! :goodvibes

Via Napoli
Chef Mickeys (bfast and dinner)
50's Prime Time
Narcoossee's
Donalds bfast (Tusker House)
Jiko
1900 Park Fare bfast
Hoop Dee Doo
Akershus (bfast)
Chefs de France
Ohana (dinner)
Cinderellas Royal table (bfast)
Kona

Any suggestions or thoughts are appreciated! :goodvibes

Looks delish! :)

I don't love Chef Mickeys enough to do it twice, even on the deluxe DDP. Have you considered Whispering Canyon, The Wave, or Yachtsman?

We actually love chef Mickeys, at least for dinner. we haven't done breakfast there in almost 10 years but we are staying at the Polynesian and do not like Ohana for bfast so we chose this one. Whispering Canyon is ok and so is the Wave. I have never done Yachtsman Steakhouse. We thought about it but chose Narcoossees for that night instead, which I love! But... I will keep it in mind! Thanks! :yay:

LOL, we're going at the same time, AGAIN! My window opens tomorrow as well. We sadly aren't going to be at the Poly this time though, we have a deluxe room at the Wilderness Lodge to feel a little more Christmas-like. However, back to the topic at hand....

We LOVE Tusker House breakfast, it's our favorite on property, however 1900 Park Fair breakfast is now our #2. The lobster eggs benedict is worth the price of admission alone.

I personally don't care for Chef Mickey's, but to each their own. I just think there are much better buffets on property, especially for dinner. I'd take Crystal Palace or Cape May over Chef Mickey's in a heartbeat.

I also much prefer Flying Fish to Narcoosee's. But I understand if you are staying at the Poly, Narcoosee's is much closer. But then again, so is the California Grill. Nothing like eating dinner with the castle and the fireworks right in your face. :thumbsup2

We have done Crystal Palace several times and its not our fav. However... we have never done the Cali Grill and considered it this time but the menu appealed to us more than the one at the Cali. Like I said... simple people and two of us aren't seafood eaters and we love the filet at Narcoossees... the fireworks is actually one of the reasons we chose Narcoossees because they too have a great view, not as great as the CG but still good. Just one question though.... do they dim the lights and pipe in the music at the CG?

**btw... Wilderness Lodge is our second favorite resort! Like the Poly for the larger rooms and the monorail. The WL def has a great Christmas feel!

They do, just like at Ohana. :thumbsup2 The servers are really good about the fireworks too, they held our food for us in the kitchen until the presentation was over so that it wouldn't get cold. Very attentive and nice service. They went out of their way to make my daughter a fruit tray for an appetizer even though it wasn't on the menu, and it was so big and beautiful I was jealous that I didn't have one of my own, LOL.

Narcoosee's is still delicious, I'm sure you will have a great dinner. There is just something about the CG that makes me feel special when I go. I think it's the private, escorted elevator ride up. Makes me feel like I'm a VIP or something, LOL.

for an opposing point of view, we hated CG....
it was noisy and the staff seemed ridiculously pretentious....
they had this silly affected behavior - as if that's what they thought was called for...i just thought the whole thing was absurd given how noisy and busy it was....
anyway....we would never eat there again, even for free...

we much prefer Citricos..... impeccable service and very good food...
the service at Citricos was the best i've had at any restaurant, anywhere....(and i've eaten at some very good restaurants)...

in any case, given that you know you like narcoosees, perhaps you should stick with that.....

I agree....I dont love CM at all, let alone do it twice in one trip. Even thou your family is a big fan of CM, maybe cancel one of those ressies and try out another character place you havent tried yet????? Just a thought. everything else looks great thou!!! ;)

LOL... we have done all of the character meals except Cape May. :thumbsup2 Thanks for the advice though! I go 2-3 times a year and my family joins me at least once a year. :goodvibes So we have given many places a chance as far as character places go!

So what did you book???

I booked all of the above... AND... I found a way to book Cali Grill too just in case we do decide to go! So I got it all! Except... the Hoop Dee Doo reservations weren't open yet. I called and they said they hadn't been released yet to try back later today or tomorrow. :confused3 Other than that... I am a happy camper! :goodvibes
