We are a party of three in the same room. The reservation is in my name. My husband and I are planning to leave earlier than our third person roommate in the same room.

Can the third person check out for me even though I'm the one on the room reservation? I won't have any incidental charges owed to the room.

Same as above. Any room charges will be finalized the morning of checkout. Unless you have a problem, there is no need to go to the front desk.

Unless you are leaving right around the official check-out time, it's always nice to let the hotel know the room is vacant. After all, they can't clean the room until they know it's vacant. You don't need to actually go to the Front Desk. Simply pick up your room phone and press the Front Desk button or dial "0" and tell the operator.

Taking 60 seconds to make that call might help the next guest get into that room a little early.

That advice holds for pretty much every hotel across the globe. And, it's coming from someone that spent many years working in hotels.

If you are changing to another Disney resort hotel, you do need to check out of the first before you check into the second. Disney IT isn't that great and not checking out can mess up your next reservation.

Does this mean we should go to the desk to check out? Or is calling from our room sufficient?
