Hey, folks!!!!

FYI... Last years AP rates through December were released on or around August 27th. Honestly I would expect it to be around a similar time frame.

2 more weeks, Is my bet!

Another site is saying that they are pretty sure that the EWK will be good in the morning so to try. Also, this site said that they are pretty sure a new offer/code will come out Aug. 8th. How do they know this stuff and could it be true. I quess we will see in the morning if the EWK code is a good one. I am not going in Sep so it will not help me but I am curious to see if the humors are true and maybe by some chance an offer/code extends past sept.

I just took one last stab at a rate tonight. The CM said he wouldn't expect any October rates until the end of the month. Whatever!

School starts tomorrow, so it is going to be a lot more hectic around here. Hope I can get myself ready early enough to have breakfast done and the kiddos dressed before 7 so I can check this board! If not, I may just have to be late to work. I can hear it now -- "Sorry I was late to work every day this week. I was trying to get a good rate at Disney World." Yeah, that's sure to fly! My boss has never been to Disney World and thinks we are weird for planning all of our vacations there.

Is anyone else on this board sleep-deprived? My eyelids are sooo heavy!

Waiting for a code for Dec. I will be up in the morning armed with a bottle of Tylenol, commercial size daiquiri maker, coffeepot, 3 sandwiches, speed dial #1 set for CRO, #2 set for AP rate anxiety hot line, and a child posted nearby incase I nod off. Did I miss anything?

A friend of mine who has her first trip to DW booked in Oct for the same time we are going, not only got the email, but she got a postcard also. I have a feeling with so many people stating that they will purchase an AP just for the room discount but really have no plans on going back within the year really puts a damper on the AP rates.

We are going back more this year because we have AP's. Dh found out he could go to a conference at the Dolphin so we are going to go. We wouldn't be going then if we didn't have the AP's, he would have gone to a different conference.

I was wondering how you got the disney insider? I am registered on the walt disney website. Is that where it is from? No email and no postcard for me either.......I just want to make sure I have registered everywhere possible.......

I called tonight to ask (beg, plead, grovel etc) the cm to see if by chance I have a PIN for an email that went awry. She said no, sorry so I said "well, are there any other specials out there for October for us unlucky folks who did not get an email? Any word on AP rates?" she said there were no general codes but said "let me double check on the AP codes." She was quiet for a minute and said "hmmm....huh, OK...well, the codes that are current now only go through August but let me encourage you to call back again [pause] often [pause] soon." I said "for OCTOBER, right? how soon?" and she said "yes, soon...well, not tonight but soon....and often, OK?" and laughed.

I just read on the other board that the AP rates are in the system as pending, which means they will be released within 24 hrs. It seems to have been confirmed by another poster who appears to have the inside scoop. They keep mentioning code EWK also it appears something else will be released on the 8th? Perhaps another general code.

I'm hoping that if it's not tomorrow, from what a few people have said here and in other places about CMs saying to watch the Sunday papers that by the 8th we'll get some discount for Oct - Dec.

Just for curiousity, I did check my dates that I already have a res for at my resort. We have preferred rooms, and up to now when I checked for "new" res, it showed me rates for ASM with preferred room and also PC with standard room rate. Today though it showed ASM only with standard room rate and PC with standard.

I'm hoping to change my res to whatever discount becomes available, but wanted to keep the preferred room.

go to disney.com and then to customer service. Go to edit your profile and then to newsletter options. The Insider never has discounts, it's just little blurbs of stuff. It's always stuff that's been on the boards before the email comes out so it's never really "news."

I called to see whether EWK has dropped early since it's close to 11P closing before I head to bed but it has not. So I'll be up yet again on the 7A watch.

From what I have read it appears the AP rate being released "EWK" is just for September. I hope for all those waiting for October rates this is not true.

I first just asked about rates for my dates then told the CM I saw a code when I was on the internet and wanted to know if it would apply to my dates. I told him I didn't know if it would apply to me since I had no idea if there were any restrictions. When he tried it he got really quiet then said "Are you an AP holder?" I said yes and then he said "Can you hold on for a minute?" He was gone for at least three minutes and when he came back he sounded very evasive (but nice) and said he was sorry but maybe I should write that code down and try back in a about a week. He acted really weird like he was trying to tell me something but couldn't come right out and say it.

Oh My Gosh!! This suspence is killing me!!

I'm in the process of moving, selling our home and settling my MIL's estate... I was "off line " for a few days till we could move the computer and establish a new phone service...and I get so busy, sometimes I forget to check my mail....I know I'm gonna miss it!!!

Why can't they just release the codes!!!

Its actually www.disneyworld.com they have a passholder section. You need to enter the numbers on the back of your pass.

This is assuming that the site will ALLOW you to sign in. We've been going rounds with Ticket Services et al about not having access with valid, activated annual passes. So far, no luck and from what I uderstand, we're not alone in not having access. Tomorrow I call Passholder Services.........AFTER I call CRO
