always quiet, we know that your CM was wrong. AP rates can be dropped into the system at anytime. We have seen it happen here on these boards many times.

Sorry to hear about the bad CM experience. I called Sunday night and got the friendliest person. Since I'm still unemployed I still hoping for a bigger discount, anything to save a few bucks!

I was lucky enough to get one of the random email codes this morning, so I hopped on the phone to make my ressie for Dec. However, I'm also wondering if AP rates would ever be lower than the $49/$79 deal...

I know discounts are not an entitlement, but waiting for them to be released is getting old. I wish I didn't even know about the discounts- LOL!
I'm glad that so many people on here have gotten postcards and e-mails, but when you are one of the seemingly few who hasn't gotten one, it doesn't feel so great. We can afford to pay rack rate for a moderate, but I'm afraid I have champagne tastes on a beer budget.
It has put a damper on the excitement of planning and booking, so I think its time for us to consider vacationing somewhere else next year. The Riverwalk in San Antonio sounds like fun and I haven't been there since I was a kid. We were planning on going again to WDW next year just to get another vacation in before DS turns 3 in October 05. Heck, DH has even talked about twice per year, but I have turned it into too much of a hassle hoping for discounts.
Maybe I'll feel different after our trip in October. I don't know.

We were there last September, and it's no Disney World. (But you know that.) However, it is a nice "local" getaway in the early spring.

My thoughts EXACTLY! I've now had phone calls from 3 different friends calling to tell me about the emails they got. None of them are planning on going for at least another 2 years, 1 of them has never even been and has never so much as requested a video! She got a subscribption to Disney Blast free with her DSL service so she signed up just for that and hasn't been to the site since signing up. It does start to make you feel like everyone but you is getting one...even though I know that's not the case.

historically AP rates and postcard rates have been the same so I doubt it.

I read on another board where someone who received the infamous e-mail that when they called, the CM said that this rate would be available to everyone soon...

...Who knows if it is true, but it is more speculation!

Just called 11:38a.m. ... NO, NO, NO...talked to Mitchell who was extremely polite. When I asked for fall passholder rates, he siad he had check on them 2 calls before me ans they were only through Aug., but he still tried again. He told to keep checking because they could be release, any day or any time of the day.

Wow, that was kind of rude of her. Who cares if we call multiple times during the day, we're the ones who spend the money on the rooms. Just think..it's better to be safe than sorry. You might kick yourself for not calling during the day if they did come out then. I say, go ahead and call!, it doesn't hurt.

I don't think I can take getting up at 3:45 am much longer!

This is my first post. Forgive any mistakes! Just called and no AP's yet. Thanks for all the posts. I have been reading for months now and appreciate all the wonderful info. that is shared. I am up at 5:45 and calling along with the rest of you. So hopeful. We will be at the Poly. concierge LV from 12/2 to 12/7 and the AKL concierge from12/7 to 12/12. Anyone else there during that time? I would put some of those cute smile/sad faces but I don't know how. (very tech challenged!) Got to get back to homeschooling or we won't have time to come, but I will keep the computer on and watch for posts. Thanks everyone!

Man, hubby is not working with me here. Every date I come up with is no good. I thought he wanted to get away for a few nights. He got me excited and now he is making me feel depressed.

Regardless I called DVC and nothing works for us cause of the F&W.

Just out of curiosity, with the email discount thing I got why are the dates 10/17 - 10/20 blocked out? Is there something going on then I should know about and avoid???
