Subtitle: When should you buy the annual pass?

We're going to be moving closer to Disney, and are planning to take advantage of the distance by going on several 2 and 3 night trips. I'm trying to decide between an annual pass vs. buying multiple day tickets. I saw a note that said tickets must be used within 14 days of first use - I assume that means I can't buy a 10 day ticket, go for 2 days in Feb. 4 days in Oct, and 4 days in Dec. Instead for the same set of trips I would need to buy two 4 day passes and a 2 day pass. If that's correct....

It looks like the annual pass ($749) might be cheaper than buying two 4 parkhopper passes and a 2 day parkhopper passes (2 * $369 + 1 * 242, total of $980).

Has anyone done more math on this? Does that sound right?

Note: we won't be Florida residents, and I don't see any GA resident discounts.

You really have to do the math for yourself. If you don't plan to hop, two 10-day trips in the same 366 days would still be cheaper than an annual pass. But if you're hopping, two 5 day tickets may be more expensive than an annual pass.
