Hi all,

This will be our first time staying at a Universal Hotel. (booked the RPR for Feb.)
I booked with the AP rate. Do I have to activate my pass (get the picture taken and all) BEFORE I check in?
I've called and asked this question twice and got two different answers.
Has anyone checked in without an activated AP?
If you have to activate it, what's my best game plan?

(Please excuse me if this has been covered, but the search feature doesn't seem to want to work for me!)

Thank you in advance!

We'll face the same thing in May. I believe that I read here that you can show them your
paper pass and then the photo pass after you get it at the gate.

When we stayed at the HRH in 2004 we had booked with the AP rate and had not picked it up yet either. When we checked in they never even asked for it.

Enjoy!

I've never been asked to show my AP or any proof for any discount I have had. We've stayed at Universal resorts about 7 times.

They probably won't ask for it but I would get on a boat and go to the park and activate it anyway before I checked in. I just hate wondering and it takes no time to get it activated and they will hold your bags.

Thank you for all of the replies. I think I will get the AP activated just to be sure.
