Check-In With No Passport

Hello,

I'm planning on checking in for our cruise when it opens up next Tuesday.

We just sent in my DS passport application, and don't expect a passport until mid-November.

Can I change the passport number afterwards? Or should I wait until it comes? We don't want a super-early PAT (11:30), and we are Silver and it should arrive prior to 75 days until sailing.

Yes, you can go in and change the passport number later.

That section on the check-in doesn't actually do any checking to determine whether or not the passport number is valid. When we were in the process of renewing ours, I just typed in some numbers until I got the new ones. As long as it's filled out, it will let you move to the next step.

Really? That's good to know! Our check in is very soon and I haven't renewed my expired passport yet. Canadian so we have a year to renew vs get a new one, and it only takes a couple of weeks to come back. I realize it could be different for us but going to try entering random numbers to see if it works!

One of the "how to get to the PAT page fast" tips is - just use the default answers or gibberish on the previous pages. As noted, the website only recognizes that you've entered something, not that it's correct.

I actually did our check in last night at midnight. First time cruisers so 75 days out. There is an issue with citizenship for the rest of my family so I didn't enter their passport info at all and it let me finish check in and choose a port arrival time! Nice and early choices too, starting at 10:45. Thought I'd share, seems pretty relevant to this thread.
