We FINALLY get to do our online check-in and booking of excursions tonight. Any advice? Should I check-in first or book excursions first? (This is our first DCL cruise)

It depends on whether the Port Arrival Time is more important, or if a specific excursion is more important.

Whichever you really want to get your 1st choice in (if available), that's where you should go first.

Yes. You must complete all information on the previous pages for the PAT page to unlock. You can't just skip ahead to it.

Unless you've previously cruise with DCL before, yes.

I'll also point out - you don't have to enter correct information for the PAT page to open. Sometimes the default answer, or gibberish, will be a quicker entry. The DCL website doesn't recognize that the information you've entered is correct, only that you've entered something. Entering that you are arriving by private transportation is quicker than supplying flight numbers/times. Entering that you are paying by cash is quicker than supplying credit card numbers/expiration dates. Entering that you are using birth certificates is quicker than entering passport numbers/info.

You can always go back and "correct" any entries that weren't complete after you've selected your PAT. Or at anytime prior to 3 days before the cruise.

Also if you have linked your reservation with someone else, only one if you can book excursions at a time. I found that out the hard way. In the future, I will only link after my online check in day

I did our online check in a few weeks ago. The only passport I entered was my own, my husband and children had the wrong citizenship entered and I wanted to make sure that was fixed before checking them in (we are Canadian, TA had them entered as American). I had an expired passport at the time so I just entered a different expiration date. Just updated tonight with my new passport and entered their info and our PAT is still the same, nice and early too! First time cruisers and got a PAT of 11.
