Check in Question

I am arriving in Florida on a Thurs and that first night I am staying at a off property hotel. My Disney package will start Friday. If I do online check in via a computer (or my phone - is that possible), do I need to pick up my tickets at my hotel on Friday? Want to try to hit a park early Fri morn but will obviously need my tickets and was not sure if I need to get everything at the hotel I am staying at. And If I do need to go to my hotel, can I get there as early as I want for the purpose of getting our tickets and have them hold our luggage til the room is ready?

On line check in does not mean hotel check in the day of arrival. All it does is make the paperwork a lot easier for the CM at the desk. It does make your check in at the hotel easier and quicker. I would get to the hotel and check in and obtain any and all paperwork. If you have luggage have the bell captain keep it for you (if your room is not ready), drop off your car and take the transportation over to your park of choice.

We have done this in past. Online check in really has nothing to do with it as PP stated, just makes the paperwork a little quicker and easier. You can do it or not...either way, report to hotel Friday and complete check in process so that u may obtain your park tickets. You can have your luggage stored with bell services and the hotel will text you later in the day when your room is actually ready and assign you a room number.

Whether or not you do online check-in, you can show up to your resort as early as 7:00 AM to "check in." If you've done the online check-in, your room keys will be ready for you with your tickets already on them. If you do online check-in, you can select the time of your check-in to be 7:00 AM and there's a chance (not a certainty) that your room may even be ready to occupy (vacant the night before). If not, you can leave your luggage with Bell Services and head to the parks. They'll text you when your room is ready and your keys will already be programmed to work.
