Hi! I have a trip booked for OKW in September. The reservation is in my name, but my SIL and BIL are driving, and we are flying. Can they check in if they arrive first, or does the primary guest have to check in?

I'd call and ask -- either with DVC or Disney CRO, whomever you booked with. You *should* be able to have something noted on your reservation to allow SIL/BIL to check in first, particularly if their park admissions are attached to their room (eg a package). But, having made arrangements in advance should help. You may also be able to get an email to confirm this or a note on an invoice...worth asking for, so that SIL/BIL can arrive with something in hand stating the arrangements.
