We will be moving from BWV to a 2 bedroom at OKW mid-way through our trip.

DH and I, along with the kids, plan on checking into OKW very early and heading to the parks while we wait for our room to become available.

Meanwhile, my mom will be flying in and taking ME to OKW. Can she check-in and get into the room if we are still at the parks or do we have to be there to check her in?

If she's listed on the reservation, a member does not need to be present. We invited another family to join us for vacation this past spring. My friend and his family arrived at WDW well before us and had no problem checking into the VWL. To be on the safe side I would let the front desk know that she will be checking in later. You should have absolutely no problems at all.

I assume your mother will be staying in the 2BR with you and not in her own unit, correct? If so they there will be no check-in needed. You will have already checked into that unit. When you do, just leave your mother's key at the front desk for her. When she arrives she will be able to pick it up and head to the room.

If your mother will be in her own room then her name should be on the reservation and, therefore, she will be able to check herself in.

So we can get her dining and park passes put on her KTTK card and leave it at the front desk? That sounds like a good option but do I need to worry at all about it getting lost?

Yes, you cando all of that when you check in. And no, you don't need to worry. If, on some off chance, they misplace her key at the front desk they'll just print her a new one. Your scenario is not an uncommon one and front desk CMs are quite used to it.

To put dining plan & park pass on card - this can be done by you when you check-in if you are paying for your mom when you check in (either by cash or charging to your credit card) & they will cut her card then. But if your mom wants to use her own credit card to put dining and park pass on her card ( or will pay with cash when she gets to OKW) then her card will be done when she arrives and does this transaction at the front desk.

In either case it will take just a few short minutes to do :goodvibes
