Check in Pool Days

We are doing a split stay, first three nights at AKL and second set of three nights at BWV. On the check in day for each resort I plan to have our pool day. The goal is to arrive a bit before lunch, spend some time at the pool and then go to our room, I assume this is ok?
Do I go to the front desk first and leave my bags - will they take them to our room? Can I order lunch and/or drinkgs and charge to the room if it's before the room is ready?
Also, we are driving. Is it easy to get your car from self park at these resorts? I was debating heady to disney springs one night for dinner...

Are you ok with potentially not having a room when you are done in the pool? You can drop off luggage at the front desks and you can link your magic band to a cc and use that for lunch.

My only worry would be getting there changing in the bathrooms? I know some pools have outdoor bathroom change areas but I'm not sure about these 2 hotels. Than getting done and having no room to shower or relax in till after 5pm.

Yes. this is okay.

You got to Bell Services. They will not take them to your room when it's ready. But when you return to Bell Services you can ask for luggage help.

Resort (standard hotel reservation) check in is sometime around 3 or 4? DVC check in can run on the later side, I have yet to stay DVC so I can't quite remember.

For a resort room if you'll be there early, you can check off that your preference is to have whatever room is available early.

AKL has a nice locker room / shower / bathroom right next to the pool. I would probably pack a small bag with anything you need to get dressed and take with you to the pool. That way if your room isn't ready when you are you can change.

Check-in is 3 pm at AKL, 4 pm at BWV. As PP mentioned, there are shower areas by the pools (the one at BWV is inside the fitness center, close to the pool. I would drop your bags at bell services and have a day bag with you with anything you might need should your room not be ready by the time you finish with the pool - change of clothes, toiletries, etc. As others have mentioned, you can use your MB to charge food or just bring a cc with you. Rooms are typically ready at check-in time, but sometimes they could be a little later. If BWV ends up later, there are things to do in the Boardwalk area - stroll the Boardwalk, look in the gift shops, ride the Skyliner, get some ice cream, rent a Surrey bike, etc. You could even walk over to Fantasia mini-golf and play a round.

me and the fam have done this multiple times over our past two stays. for the day you are switching:

1. pack everything you know you won't need before dinner in your big luggage and have bell services tag and send to your new resort
2. pack what you will change into for dinner in backpacks (hopefully dinner isn't super fancy...)
3. wear pool gear (plus cover-ups as appropriate) and drive to your new resort
4. new resort bell service will hold any bags you don't want to take to the pool (separate from what you sent ahead) but will need for dinner
5. change in your room if you get it (prioritize first available and ask the front desk about getting into your room as well) and in the shower rooms if you don't

Check in "starts" at 3:00 p.m. at AKL, "starts" at 4:00 p.m. at BWV. There's no guarantee that your room will be ready at exactly those times, but if you don't have any specific requests you can requests a room that may be ready earlier.

It is very close to the pool.

Just wondering why you want your bags at bell services if you have a car? We split all the time and sometimes even go to a park while waiting and just leave stuff locked in trunk or whatever.

There are lockers near pool at AKL ..I assume some at others as well if you need to lock up anything before you get the room.
