Check In. It’s getting real

Our check in opens Wednesday at midnight as I’m type A I want to make sure all of my ducks are lined up. I have my photos and photos of the passports. Everything is on my iPhone which I will use to check in. I watched a video which said both pages of the passport are needed. Is this correct? Anything else I’m missing? Do I set up my on board account during check in? Can I use Disney gift cards?

I just held up my open passport and took a webcam picture. I didn't worry about 2 pages, but the camera probably got both my picture page and the adjoining page. I wasn't aware of the changes in advance so I just snapped webcam photos of whatever photos were required, including my picture, which was probably not a very good pic- very tired at 11pm & a probably tilted webcam taking my photo as I sat in bed, trying to get check-in completed. Even with the surprise & hassle, I still got an 11am PAT & boarding group 2. I did put in a credit card number during check in. I don't recall whether or not gift cards are allowed, because I wasn't trying to do that.

We only did the picture page of the passport and it was accepted for online check in. And yes, you set up the onboard account during check in.

Can we still go in at 33 days and download documents?
Can we use the pictures on our phone that we used for our passport renewal earlier this year?
We are 40 days out.

We used a computer and had no issues.

I used my cell phone for most of it because I took my photos with it and it was just more efficient to use upload directly from the phone, rather than sending photos to my email and uploading them from the computer. Phone check in started out very easy except when it got to the credit card screen, which for some reason would not load on my phone--just a blank page. I went on my computer at that point and was able to resume where I left on my phone without having to repeat anything, and the credit card screen worked fine on the computer.
