I wonder if the web site will even let anyone know when the winners are picked?

I say just like all other contests you see run you never know who wins or know someone that did win.

I think most of these things are scams. Companies give them away, but to people they want to win.

You find out that some family that has never been to disney won but could never afford to go since they are on welfare.

A family were the father died while serving in the military.

Total fix

Glad to see you came down off your high horse there;)

The website does say that a list of winners will be available after a certain date. I still wonder how someone who texts will be notified. Didn't one the winners say that she texted?

Anyway, congrats to any winners. Imagine the odds of three DISers winning the first week! Hopefully that will continue.

I just went and looked under my account details that I use to enter and there is no place to put a mailing address. I don't understand how people are getting things delivered. Am I missing something?

If you used your original disney website account then you can go into your profile and see if your correct address is listed. I just checked mine to see if my correct phone number was listed.

Thanks - It came with a copy of the rules to read. - we have no idea which we will choose - we are going for 8 nights to WDW in 24 days...so I think we may be leaning towards DL...but who knows! It will be me, DH, and we have 3 kids - if we can add a person (out of pocket) we will take all 3 if not we will leave the youngest at home with my parents (she's almost 3).

That is awesome- congrats! Tell us your plans when you choose them.:lovestruc:lovestruc

My thoughts exactly.

I have 2 separate Disney accounts with different logins: 1 with email (address attached) and the other with login ID (no address - no where to attach one).

The sweepstakes is attached to the Disney website requiring the login ID, thus no way to know my physical address.

....unless they're linking joint accounts using an email? Still that makes NO SENSE to auto Fedex since some people move and don't update their account info. Also, some people, like myself, strictly use PO Boxes.

Maybe the people who are having things FedEx'd HAVE an address on file and those who do not will be notified via email or cell phone.

Okay fellow dissers:call me lazy, tired and sick right now- been sick with a bad stomach virus since last friday and today is the first day I started paying attention to this (gasp!) Withouth having to read the whole thread if someone can answer a few simple questions for me that would be great:

How many winners are picked each day?
If you text your entry, does it cost anything? I have AT&T if that matters for my cell phone.
If you are a potential winner they will notify me by mail or do I have to check my email everyday? Something I am bad at doing by the way:)

Thanks again for your help and congrats to those who have won?

If I win I would like to choose disney world, either the Polynesian or AKL Savannah View. It would be me,hubby and my two sons.

ONE winner per day...but we have no idea how many drawings are being done at a time. They said they were going to draw for the first 7 days on Jan 11th but clearly they've already drawn a bunch.

Text entries only cost whatever your carrier charges. I have unlimited texting so text entries cost me nothing. DH pays per text so each entry for him would cost $.20

It seems they've been notifying potential winners via FEDEX letter. But I would watch your email, USPS and Fedex deliveries just in case.

I'm not aware of any place to put your address on file on this particular Disney website.

I love love LOVE people who think like this! :worship: Yes you are right, sweeps are scams, please dont waste your time entering!!!! :lmao:

Contests such as this are normally administered by what is called a judging agency. Said JA conduct the drawings, and they are done totally random using a computer generated program. Each entry is given a number during the entry, at the end of each entry period, a winner is drawn by the computer by generating a random number and whichever entry has that number is the winner. There is no gimmick to it.

Also understand with a sweep like this, it is generating probably a million of entries per day. It is being advertised on every sweepstakes site and Disney site along with commercials on ABC.

If you want to see who won, send a SASE to address in the rules, they will send you a list of the winners. It is all very transparent and has to be because of each states laws on sweepstakes.

I for one have won from many large companies, Disney (resort and cruise line) Del Monte, Coca Cola, Wells Fargo Bank, Best Buy, McDonalds and Wendys to name a few. Someone has to win, I enter them all, hoping to win, but understanding you have to enter to win and there are no guarantees. Good luck everyone, I hope all yours ( and mine!) Disney dreams come true!

Are you registered with their main website? If so you can go into your profile and update your address if need be.

I'm registered with the Disneyworld website disneyworld.disney.go.com - and my address is attached there for trips.

But the main Disney website disney.go.com (the one used for sweepstakes) - I cannot find a place to register an address.

I'm not aware of any place to put your address on file on this particular Disney website.

All the Disney, ESPN and ABC websites are connected. Each login will work via either your registered email or your login name, they are all interconnected. All of these required address upon registering. If you are ONLY registered at the go.com site, never ever anywhere else, I just went and looked, yes, there is no entry for an address, so they will have to email or call you to get it. Nothing unusual there though.

So I had a missed call yesterday on my cell phone from 407-702-0538 but they didn't leave a message.

Normally I answer my phone but we were super busy at work and I didn't get a chance to. I called the number back and it was a generic "the number you have dialed is not accepting any calls at this time" message.

Now I'm like OMG I might have won a trip :scared1:

IDK what other reason someone from a 407 area code would be calling me about. But I really wish I would have answered!!

If Ventura is handling, the number can be anything, but more than likely a NYC or area number....also it can also come up as 123-456-7890, I have got winning calls from that before also
