Hi and congrats to all Spring 2011 CPs! Can anyone who has completed a prior program give me a realistic idea of what to wear on check-in day?

Thanks!

Yep they aren't strict I want to say I wore a university T and underarmor shorts that match it...only time they care is when you go to Disney U and when you clock in for your shift.:thumbsup2

Make sure you have something to cover your shoulders with for your picture...if your shirt won't already be doing that...

I checked in in August and most of us were in shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops or sneakers.

A spring check in is January so you may need warmer clothes than that depending on the weather

how long does the check-in process take?

i was originally going to fly in, however, i am now driving.

i arrive next Monday (Nov 8). I look forward to getting this thing started.

The morning check-in process takes about a half hour to an hour...filling out forms, sorting housing, signing more papers, getting your housing ID. Then you go to your apartment, drop your things off and take a bus to Casting. This process is probably the longest, atleast an hour depending on as you go through more paperwork, find out your work location, fingerprints, paycheck things, etc. Later in the day there's an apartment meeting with Property Control going over various housing rules and busses... that takes about an hour as well.

You may not be able to go to the apartment before Casting. I went right from Vista Way to Casting (second bus of the day) and then went to the apartment before going to the Commons for the housing meeting

those of you arriving in Jan, keep in mind that what others are talking about where things happen may change. You'll be given a schedule of what you need to do, where you need to go, and when you need to do it when you check in.

At check in, if we don't go to our apartments first and have to go directly to casting, what do we do with our belonging?

If you don't have a car that they're in, there is an area for luggage to be held (it's secure with a guard)
