Check in Day at Aulani

We will be arriving Honolulu after midnight on Sunday 14th October, so have chosen somewhere cheap for the first night, we have then booked Aulani for the next two nights Monday and Tuesday. Unfortunately we have to leave early on the Wednesday morning.
I would really like to make the most of our stay, including the first day prior to check in.
What would we be able to do at the resort during the day (prior to 4pm)? Would we have access to the pools?, what about kids club activities? Or other activities around the resort? How likely is it that we could check in early?

You can check in early and get wristbands for the pool, you can ask for a key card for the luana lounge (showers if you need em) in case you need to shower after pool time before something else, and your room isn’t ready yet. Other than aunties (might be fully booked by the time you get there) the other activities just need a wristband (except the extra cost stuff)
