Most banks won't cash a payroll check unless you have an account there, so that's probably not an option, unless he wanted to deposit the check and open an account.
Any of those "check cashing" shops ought to do it for him, though they will charge a fee for doing it. I'm guessing that there will be one of those somewhere on 192. (Just looked it up; the closest to WDW appears to be on 192 just east of John Young Pkwy, at the corner of Lavon Ave.)
With that charge on top of the FedEX charge + insurance, he will probably lose at least about $40 and more than an hour finding the place (plus just the hassle) to get the check cashed in Orlando. Can he sign up for direct deposit soon enough to make it unnecessary?
