Check card use

Hello all! This is our first post here. My wife and I have tons of questions so I'm sure there'll be many more posts. We are making our fourth trip down in about 10 days and it's been 12 years since the last trip. Staying at CBR. Didn't have Check/Bank Cards back then. Are they accepted at the park? Or is there a better way to handle paying for stuff. We're from Ohio and could use some input.

You should be able to use Check/Bank Card pretty much anywhere. We usually don't carry too much cash on us. Just enough to get snack and such for the vendors in the parks (i.e. popcorn, soda, etc.).

Other than that we use our card pretty much all the time.

Oh yeah, we do carry some one's just for tipping purposes (i.e. valet, porter, etc.)

We also always use our check card. We carry very little cash with us. Enough to get a snack or a drink, but use or check card for everything else. It should not be a problem at all. Have a great trip

It's a good idea to take some cash if you frequent rolling carts (they are notorious for CC machines being down). But, there are ATMs everywhere, and you can use them as is almost anywhere.

Another note. You can also tie a credit card to your room key. That is a good idea if you don't want to risk losing your card. A quick trip to guest services stops your key card from being used, and you don't have to deal with your bank/company.

last visit i used my room key for everything. never had a problem and i loved it. good luck i will be at cbr in 10 days too. hope to see ya around.

Hi! Welcome, I'm from Ohio also. I use my debit card tied to my room key, have for years. Never had any problems.

I personally would never use a debit card for anything other than getting cash from an ATM. The banks do not afford you the same protection from fraudulent charges you get from using a regular credit card. Some car rental agencies and hotels put a large hold on your account in advance of a transaction. If a fraudulent transaction occurs, the money you may have counted on paying your electric bill with or buy groceries with is gone. Only after a lengthy (weeks) investigation will the bank credit your account. I feel much safer using Mr. Global Banker's money.
