Check Bag Questions

We booked a last minute cruise and left for WDW before cruise documents arrived. Is there a way to still check your bags at port? Also, Can you still take your bags off the ship yourself when disembarking? We need to be on the road as soon as possible, work day for DH. On our last cruise our bags were misplaced at port. Took couple Hours before they were located.

Yes you can still check your bags. The porters have extra blank tags and when you drop them off they will write the stateroom on the tag. They are also still allowing you to take your own bags off. Have a great trip!

We booked 3 weeks before our cruise so never got our luggage tags (or anything cruise related) in the mail before we left. When we pulled up to the curb at the terminal the porters asked our cabin number and wrote it on luggage tags that he had and attached them to our luggage. They were generic tags, not the colorful ones you usually get.

When we got home I fully expected to find our luggage tags in our held mail but nope....they did not send any. Maybe they don't bother when you book pretty close to sail date...don't know for sure.

We booked 10 days before our last cruise and they were in the mail when we got home. We booked 3 weeks before our next cruise this time so I’m hoping we get them this time! But it was very easy to check bags at the port without them.
