HI. We are a family of 5 hoping to go to DLP end of November. 2 Adults. 2 Kids under 12. I baby 2 years old. the current offer for November is only kids free up to 7 so will have to pay for oldest DD. What is the cheapest way to do this. We are hoping to stay in DHL. I am thinking of booking me DD2 AND DD3 on current offer and buying an AP for DH and DD1 and booking them into room on arrival and only pay city tax. However with CEM and promoparcs no longer selling to non French residents. what is the cheapest way for me to buy AP thereby paying less than room rates and getting discounts on our meals. Thanks

fantasy passes bought at DLP would work at 159 euros each - or Francillien passes bought and paid for in advance from DLP themselves, as they send out permanent passes, not temporary ones. These cost 119 euros each.

It may not be any/much cheaper doing it this way and adding them to the room at check-in though.

Its worthwhile going this route if you intend going to DLP at least twice in one year once you have the APs, and/or you intend spending loads in the restaurants and shops, where you can use your AP discounts.

If I am understanding my acronyms...and I've been known to get them wrong, you are asking for tips on how to stay cheaply at the Disneyland Hotel?!

This I think is a mystery...I have tried time and time again to get a reasonable price at the disneyland hotel and I am yet to manage it. I have an annual pass and even with the discount...which is only off rack rates, it's still way too expensive!

If you discover a secret..I'd be keen to know what it is.

Thanks

I think that's where you've gone slightly wrong - booking using the discount off the rack rate is extortionate, booking a room package for one person in a January, adding three more on with post bought Francillian passes is the way to save money ;) Though booking for one person any time with purchasing the passes ahead of time, saves a heck of a lot of money! All you pay then is €1,10 per night per person to add them at check in.

I am totally new to this and just wondering if I am understanding this correctly.
We would be traveling with Dh, DD 11 and myself. Is it better to book a room with only 1 person listed, and add 2 at check in ?
Why does it cost more booking all 3 of us in ?

I am confused because I have never heard of this lol

Hi Catrina

If members of your group have annual passes so do not need the park tickets that come with a package booking, it will more often then not be cheaper to just book the room for one person and add the rest on room only at check in. When I bought my AP last year, it really saved us money. Booking SL was 280 euro LESS when just booked for DH and DS. and the AP cost 199 euro so instant saving :goodvibes plus all the shop and restaurant discounts on top of that:goodvibes

It is always worth playing around with the various figures before making any booking. If you get creative you can often save yourself a tidy sum of money:cool1:

Ok so it may be cheaper for us to buy an AP for one of us, book the room for just that person, and add on the other 2 at check in. But does that qualify them for the breakfast that is included in the room ? Can we do a dining plan if we have an AP room only booking ?
The flights there are high enough that if I can save money doing this then I am willing lol But I was looking at their dining plan to simplify the stay so I don't have to try to figure out what to budget for meals and such.
The package I was looking at included the free half dining plan so maybe that was a better deal.
I can see this is going to take some research to figure out. I am so used to WDW and DL. This is a whole new adventure

No, hang on. How many of you are there? If there's 3 of you all classed as adults, you book the room with park tickets as a package (cheapest way to book a room) via disneylandparis for ONE person, then buy annual passes for the other two. You then add the two annual pass holders to the room for the price of local tax. And yes, they'll get breakfast.

Does that make sense?

Oh, and most people believe that the dining plan isn't worth the cost. But if it's included in the package, you will get it ONLY for the person who is booked as part of the package - so basing that on the above, just one person.

if the package deal you are seeing is 30% off and free dining, how much is it for all 3 of you for the package, before we go any further and look at one-adult packages with the other 2 added to the room at check-in? what dates are you looking, which hotel, and what are the ages of your party? Theres no point confusing you if theres no need to :).

There is Dh, myself and 11 yr old DD. We are not specific on dates but I was looking at Nov. Yes that is the package it showed me.
I believe it was the Cheyenne resort.
I can't get it to load any offers now for some reason. It worked out to $2500 Canadian when I did the conversion rate online. I think it was about 1600 EUR

What is a normal price for meals there for adults ? This conversion from Eur to Canadian is new to me. I am used to the US prices and can figure that out easily lol Having a bit of a struggling figuring this difference out.

What we would like to do is go spend a 7-8 days at DLP, and then spend a week somewhere in Paris and see some sights. We have never been so it will be a totally new experience for us and I am just starting to look into it so haven't figured anything out so any help would be really appreciated.

I'm ok without the dining plan but would just need to figure out what it will cost to eat there so that I can plan for that. Not knowing at all makes it hard to figure out. I wouldn't want to plan for $100 a day and it cost me $200 and then we don't have enough money while we are there. That makes me nervous lol

Worth remembering that you will get a 10% discount in restaurants using your AP discount which is about the same saving you get with the meal plan, but with added flexibility. And if you are planning on buying things in the shop, you get upto a 20% discount there too :goodvibes

Thank you ! No I do not have anything on DLP yet. Just starting to do the research :) That site will help !

in November, after 11th of the month, you will be twiddling your thumbs wondering what to do with yourselves at DLP for 7 or 8 days. Its one of the quietest times at DLP, and midweek its so quiet you can walk on almost everything. There are 2 parks and a Village area, thats it, thats DLP. Most people tend to go for 3 or 4 nights at that time of year - and especially since you're then going on to Paris, you might want to reconsider the amount of time you'll want to spend staying at your onsite hotel of choice.
