cheapest ts meal you have had in wdw?

I too have to agree that The Plaza in MK is the cheapest TS in Disney....and they are really good too :goodvibes

Beaches & Cream anyone?

We usually split a double burger with fries, extra side of fries/onion rings (depending on how hungry we are) and ice cream.

I'm glad to see this thread. I have a lapband and cannot eat a full meal so DH & I are bypassing the DP this year and we are just going to eat on the fly (except for a ressie for HDDR). These tips are helpful! :cutie:

How does disney feel about splitting? My DH and I do this from time to time and I was wondering if it was frowned upon? some of the meals are just too much food for one person! we would rather splurge on deserts sometimes!

No splitting allowed at 1) buffets, 2) all you can eat family style restaurants like Ohana or Garden Grill, 3) fixed price restaurants like CRT or Akershus, 4) dinner shows, 5) the all you can eat skillet entree at Whispering Canyon Cafe. Everyone is charged individually for these. Anyplace else, go for it. There were a couple of reports that Rainforest Cafe may charge a split plate fee and some older reports that Beaches & Cream do not allow guests on the dining plan to share entrees, although it is permitted for guests not on the dining plan. Also there were a couple of more recent reports that Via Napoli didn't allow guests on the dining plan to share an individual pizza.

Splitting is fine if paying OOP....when on the DDP it's a bit of a grey area. I would think that if you are on the DDP the cost would not be worth while if you plan to split meals anyway.

When we are paying for all our meals I will often order a kids meal when doing CS. The size is just right and it includes a drink.

Look for the great CS kids meals at certain venues...I find the kids Chinese plate at sunshine seasons to be the perfect size with still some leftover ( I am able to eat about 4 heaping tbs of food per meal) and it comes with a small bottle of water to save for that hour after you have eaten! I also pilfer some meat off the wonderful sandwiches at Starring Rolls at DHS--DD or DH don't miss it since the sandwiches are huge!

Boma's breakfast is no longer that price it is now $24.49 for adults and $13.84for kids (prices from allears), so definitely not cheap for a family of 4 esp if your kids are over 9.

GEEZ! Thats a huge jump!! Is that peak pricing??

Thanks for the info :)

Probably Crystal Palace dinner. Food was okay, typical buffet. Breakfast would be less expensive.

Cheapest meals inside magic kingdom we have had out of pocket is basically your hamburgers , hot dogs, BBQ, Chicken Nuggets.
EPCOT:Liberty Inn should be able to get a meal with fries and large drink for about $12.00 or cheaper. Cheese burgers, double cheeseburger, Chicken Nuggets, BBQ Pork Sandwich, Hot Dog.
ANIMAL KINGDOM: Restaurantosaurus(was one of the best meals we have ever had because we were tired, hungry, and escaping a rainstorm LOL!/ Flame Tree BBQ (have read was good and would like to try)
MAGIC KINGDOM: Cosmic Rays offers a pretty good variety./Columbia Harbour House(have read was good-Chicken & Fish & Chips) / I have reserved Plaza2011 to pay out of pocket. I think about the cheapest restaurant to reserve & hoping more than a hamburger to eat! Sandwiches/hamburgers/salads/icecream deserts
HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS : Rosies All American Cafe /hambergers/chicken nuggets/garden salad/soup of the day

CHARACTER DINING EXPERIENCE/EPCOT/Norways Akershus story book Princess ($90 for 3 adults -2007)A good meal/which was cheaper than Magic Kingdom Cinderellas Royal table
THIS YEAR 2011/ANIMAL KINGDOM/Tusker House character Breakfast to pay out of pocket/ I'm hoping is no more than $25 each adult.

DOWN TOWN/Rain forest (good meal)

SNACKS OR SMALL MEALS/My niece likes the turkey legs & pretzels, My husband and I like the Dole Whip, my daughter thinks it is to sweet. She likes the icecream floats or mickey bars.
We all carry water and I usually take a couple packs of crakers&peanut butter and my husband takes a bag of peanuts.

liberty tree tavern was very reasonable for lunch.... as is the plaza.

nine dragons and chefs de france are reasonable as well :)

Thanks for asking this question we have a Sept trip but in Nov we are driving down for 1 night for MVMCP as a suprise for DD bday and we are paying for eveything for 5 ppl. Think Ill make a Plaza ADR for right before party starts!

1/2 off appies and $2 beers at HOB in DTD from 3pm to 5pm. Their appies are large enough to be a meal.

I think a very inexpensive choice is the new pizzeria in Italy. I LOVED the food and it was inexpensive when you share a pizza! Awesome choice!
