I know this might sound bad but when is it the cheapest time to cruise with Disney?
Also when is it the slowest time for Disney Cruise lines as well?
Possibly looking at January but not sure what to expect?

Don't think your question sounds bad at all - we are to the point that we only sail when the fares are lowest! Our experience has been that November through February are among the lowest rates - excluding the peak holiday times. We have cruised twice on 7 day cruises leaving the Saturday immediately after Thanksgiving and love it. Rates are low, and the ship is decorated for Christmas. Weather is usually good (always good once you get farther south in the Caribbean). One thing we have noticed is even in the off season, there can be some variation in rates.

A good way to check and compare rates week by week and category by category is to go to www.allseastravel.com and scroll through their rates. It helps identify the cheapest weeks.

September prices are always one of the lowest. We have always cruised in September.

We could never cruise any other time other than value season. I wish we could afford it, but it just isn't an option for us (we are lucky to be able to go in value season).

We have had some wonderful trips and great memories. This coming September there will be 17 in our party! So many other has 'wondered' how in the world we could afford to go on the Disney Cruise every year! I told them that we always go in value season. When they saw the prices, they decided they could swing it too and they are joining us! We have never cruised with friends before so this is going to be a very special trip (for all of us!).

Summer 2003 western vs October 2004 (antigua cruise). The October '04 cruise is about 40% less expensive than the summer cruise.

We had priced January cruises a few years ago. Over new year (starting dec 29) was very expensive (duh!!) the price droped quite a bit for the next week and even more for the week after than, then bumped up a little for MLK week. And then dropped again after that.

When you cruise and how early (and sometimes how late) you book are the biggest variables in how much your cruise is going to cost.

When we were booking our April 04 Wonder cruise back in September, it was $2,000 less to go week after my kids spring break (April 18 4 day instead of April 11 4 day). Both kids teachers did not mind our kids missing a week of school and their college funds sure could use that extra $2,000!
