Hi, I have to start using Vanicream products on my 15 month old DD due to skin sensitivity. These product are way more expansive thent he hypoallergenic products I have been using up until now. I was wondering if any one could help me and tell me the cheapest place/ website they have found to purchase these product as well as the Free and Clear shampoo and conditioner. Thanks so much for every one's help.

Unfortunately there is really no "cheaper" place to get it.

We have to order it because no one here sells it and it's the same price everywhere. We pay:
$15/4 oz tube for sunscreen
$6.90/4oz tube of lotion
$3.15/ bar or soap

we order it from our local drugstore (not a chain store) but when we lived in virginia we ordered from CVS.

My advice would be to buy the 1 lb tub of lotion and than buy a few of the 4oz tubes to throw into your purse or diaper bag for when you go out and for travel etc.

We spend about $300 on sunscreen and probably about $250 on lotion.
$550 total but we get reimbursed by our insurance b/c it's medically necessary items b/c i am allergic to chemicals in every other lotion.

Does you DD have eczema?
I don't know what the min. age is for chemical testing but if she's that sensitive and has eczema i would advise looking into that. The chemical testing is why our insurance reimburses us. We found out that i am allergic to lanolin and parabens.

My daughter has been using this for 3 years and we love it! No more excema! We used to have to order it, but now our local Walmart (in the pharmacy area) and Walgreens both carry it on the shelves. They carry the lotion, sunscreen and shampoo/conditioner. We live in NC.

Thanks for the help. I purchased it from a few websites in order yto get it cheaper. Walgreens carries the lotion but the rest is special order. I'll pass on the cheapest prices I found.

Drugstoredotcom
sunscreen $15.95
Cream 4oz $5.75
1 lb $11.19/ 11.99 (with pump)
Can usually get free shipping.

nationalallergydotcom
shampoo and conditioner $7.49 each (6.49 if order 4 or more
Liquid cleanser 8 oz $7.49
32 oz $23.96.
Had to pay for shipping but needed to order mattress and pillow covers anyway and had code for 10% off.

The local CVS store sometimes has the bars of soap behind the pharmacy counter. If they don't have any in stock, they can order it. It usually arrives the next day. If there is a CVS near you, you can ask them how much it will cost.

I've only purchased the soap, but you could ask about the other items as well.

If you have a Target near you, you might want to ask the pharmacy if they can get the items for you.

I've been using these products for about six months now (they were recommended by the dermatologist, and they've done wonders for my skin). My local Target carries them. They keep them behind the pharmacy counter, and you have to ask for them.

My daughter is supposed to use these, and we found them at our local drug store and also CVS.

The Free and Clear shampoo was awful. It didnt clean her hair and it always looked dirty and greasy. We switched to an all natural pear shampoo.

Good luck. We do use the sunscreen, and its ok. Its just really thick.
