We have been using Suave Kid's 2 in 1 shampoo. It sells for $1.87 per 12 ounce bottle. I WISH you could buy it in larger bottles as we go through it fairly fast.

Is there anywhere that sells it for less OR a comperable shampoo that is cheaper?

What do you suggest?

My only criteria is that I have dry hair and can't use a shampoo without some conditioning quality to it or my hair dries out terribly.

Thanks!,

Dawn

BJ's sells some kids Suave shampoos in a 6 pack, I think - and I remember seeing them come out with a coupon for it recently.

Definitely check warehouse stores - I have a membership to all 3, since each sells different products and has different clearances (and BJ's takes coupons and offers their own as well).

I just looked and there is a BJ's in Charlotte. Maybe you can check that out (you can look without having a BJ's card, and maybe they'd give you a 1 day pass to shop?)

Suave and V05 are both regularly priced under $1.00 for a 15oz. bottle (or just over $1.00 if you live in an expensive area). I'm not talking about the 2-in-1 styles...just the regular kind.

Both brands release $.50 coupons VERY frequently (at least once a month). Coupons can be found in your Sunday papers. When the $.50 coupons come out, collect them from everyone you know. If you aren't too embarrassed, you can also collect them from your nearest newspaper recycling bin (they'll be there a few days after the paper comes out).

Find a store which offers double coupons and you'll get the shampoos either free or very close to it. You can also use the coupons for conditioners and you'll find that you'll see much better results on your hair if you use a separate conditioner instead of a 2-in-1.

If you live in an area which doesn't offer double coupons, you'll still be getting 15oz. bottles for $.50 each, which sure beats $1.87 for a 12oz. bottle.

If you're stuck on using the Suave Kid's 2-in-1, you should still collect the coupons...they'll reduce your cost by $1.00 (or $.50 in a non-doubling area).

Thanks.

My hair is so dry that I use the 2 in 1 and then an additional conditioner! If I use the reg. and then a conditioner it comes out quite dry.

I will see about getting coupons.

Thanks!,

You sound like me. My hair is dry and difficult to brush through unless I use Pantene (or off-brand Pantene) conditioners. I've tried just about every brand on the market and Pantene is the only one that works. I wait until I find a B1G1 free sale and then I add a coupon to each bottle. I stock up during these sales...it's the only way I can get Pantene for around a dollar a bottle.

In a pinch, I use V05 conditioner. It's the next best to Pantene for me (which is strange, since V05 is so cheap and even most expensive conditioners don't work for me). I "buy" V05 for free with coupons and keep a supply of it in stock for those times that I run out of Pantene and can't find a good deal on it.

2-in-1 doesn't condition my hair at all, I have to have them both separate. I am pretty sure that BJ's had the 2 in 1 kids, for a good price (the bottles were really colorful).

My hair is pretty dry also, and always needs conditioner (but fortunately, my hair is good with most conditioners). I like the Suave humectus best, mostly though because it smells good. :) But I do have VO5's in the cabinet that I bought for .66 last year each, and some Suaves I purchased for about the same price, a lot of free samples and a gallon of Suave silky conditioner I bought on clearance at BJ's for $6.00. I don't ever run out, I always find clearances before I do (I need to get through some of my samples, though I am saving some for Europe).

Suave is definitely the best bargain in my area. I also have used the Humectant shampoo in the winter when my hair gets horribly dry - there's also a "matching" conditioner with a different name (that I can't recall). At one time I'd been using the expensive Nexxus stuff but the Suave label ("same as Nexxus" or whatever) caught my eye, so I tried it and found it worked even better!

I remember bringing my daughter to a hair dresser and having her say "do you use your shampoo and conditioner on her hair?" and the reason she knew was because she always told parents never to use kids shampoo/conditioner. She said products marketed towards children are made to strip the hair of any and all messes and dirt they may get into and it totally dries out the hair. Since then I have always used Dove on my kids. I have colored treated hair and find the best thing for me is Infusium or Loreal Vive shampoo and conditioners. I have tried EVERYTHING - many different salon brands that cost an arm and a leg and those 2 work the best. Good luck!!

:thumbsup2 our dollar store has been stocking this brand for a couple of months, and Sam's club has a 4 pack of the shampoo...didn't look close enough to see if it was 2 in 1 kind. hope this helps!

My Dollar Tree also carries it, but usually the Dollar Tree products are regional so you just never know.

That is what I use. I love it and it is inexpensive.

I really love the Dove haircare products. The shampoo is sooo moisturizing! The prices aren't too bad either. I can get it for $1.99 on sale and with a coupon.

I didn't know about the children's shampoo stripping the hair. I have about 30 bottles of Suave for kids that I got for free when Kmart was having the $5 off 5 bottles last year. That's the only thing I use on DS and I have noticed his hair is a bit dry. Maybe it's time to switch!
