We have multiple families who need to get to AC on either a Sunday or Monday, returning on a Friday or Saturday in mid July. We can leave from Milwaukee or Chicago (or any of the smaller airports in WI). We sports moms are bickering over whether to fly into AC, NYC (which airport?), or even DC. Price is really going to matter, since many people are bringing their entire families. If we fly into somewhere other than AC, what's the best choice of transportation the rest of the way (staying at the Taj Mahal)?

TIA!

Your closest would probably be Philadelphia, about 60 miles. There's very little scheduled service to ACY. Looks like Spirit has a flight from Chicago.

If you can't fly into ACY then definitely Phila is closest (about 50-60 min drive). Newark is the next closest airport and it is almost 2 hours from AC.

Thank you everyone! We usually fly into Newark (since many of the events for this are in a burb of that), so I didn't even think of Philadelphia.

I think that to save the extra 1 hours drive from Milwaukee to Chicago to fly direct into AC, we'll look at Milwaukee to Philadelphia, instead.

Would we be looking at town car service then, or just rent a car?

Thanks again, you all are the best :thumbsup2!

PLEASE be aware that in mid-July you're going to be dealing with HUGE traffic getting to Atlantic City. Just about everyone in NJ, eastern PA (and more areas) are ALL trekking to "the shore" from June through Sept. It makes for some major traffic and slower than typical driving conditions. Be aware that it will take you longer to drive this stretch of 60 miles than if you were driving 60 miles someplace else.

I agree with all - AC or Phila.

NYC would take you farther away than you want to be - about 2 to 3 hours or more in good traffic. Getting out of NYC on a weekend is just as tough as getting into the city. Traffic is heavy.

Fly into AC airport. That's the easiest.

Rent a car at Phila - drive to AC. It's really not that bad. The AC Expressway is good - gets you where you want to be.

A drive to AC on Mon and back to PHL on Friday will have less traffic, although Saturday won't be terrible.

I don't think there are any nonstops on PHL-MKE route
