Hi, we're going to Orlando in June and would like to fly. I'm looking for the best deals folks have found for a RT flight between Lansing, Flint, or Detroit to Orlando. So far the best I've found is Allegiant Air which comes to just under $1100 for the 5 of us. We plan to fly out on June 12 or 13 and come back on June 21 or 22. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Try Airtran. Looks like it would be about 950.00 for you're dates. Good luck!

I agree with the previous poster. We fly AirTran out of FNT exclusively. They have a great non-stop flight that leaves FNT at 7 a.m. and gets into MCO at around 9:30. Doesn't leave til around 7:30 p.m. for the return trip. Some others on these boards have reported numerous schedule changes for other airports, but I've never seen this non-stop changed except for the return trip and the most that's ever been is less than 30 min. AirTran also participates in RAC so that's a BIG plus. We used it last month and it doesn't get any better than that!!:thumbsup2 Because you're travelling when kids are out of school and it's busy season I wouldn't wait too long to book. AirTran will give you a credit toward a future flight if the fare goes down after you book. If you'll be booking today or tomorrow check out the gift certificate special that's being offered (it's ending Jan. 31). You'd be able to get a free one-way flight right away! If you have any questions I'd be happy to try to answer them.

We are flying out of Detroit on NW June 11-19. If at all possible, flying mid-week you can get cheaper flights. I have been looking for a while. The past month NW has been have "promo fares". We got 4 round trip tickets (non-stop) total $680. These "promo fares" change daily, keep checking. Good Luck.

I also love the SPARTANS!!!!!!

I second NW's promo fares.
They are usually high on the weekends, but go down on Mondays and Wednesdays

I got $150 r/t on Spirit Air out of Detroit on June 10-June 19

It's on the NW site. After you put in your dates and the prices and times come up it said "Promo Fare". Look often if you get a chance. The day I purchased ours it was total $194 pp and about 1:00 pm it was down to $170 total pp with "Promo Fare" next to $170. Good Luck!

As I type this the wind chill is -15!!!!!!

I also have to say Airtran. We are closer to the boarder so we fly outa chicago but we love Airtran.

Today, NWA has some "promo fares"!!! Looking at leaving on June 12 and coming back June 21 was total $190 pp. Good Luck!

Be careful if you fly out of lansing to connect in detroit. I have had two flights canceled less than twelve hours before departure because there were not enough people signed up for the lansing to detroit leg. If you are from the Lansing area you can look into Michigan Flyer to get to detroit. I have had a few friends use the service and they have had great experiences. The WiFi included is a big plus! I have flown allegient out of Flint and that isn't bad either. Flint is a nice small airport.

Allegiant flys out of Flint?? I've never seen that. I know they go out of Lansing. :confused3

Try the save48 code with Sprint today. They are having another save $48 dollar deal. We got our seats out of Detroit to MCO for $51 on the way there and $51 on the way back leaving through Tampa. We figured we would drive to Tampa as it was a better deal, we have 8 total people traveling so saving $50 a person was worth the drive to get the better deal at the Tampa airport on the way home.

Sprint has been the best deals that I have seen out of Detroit! And believe me, I've checked everywhere!

Good luck!
