Cheapest/Easiest way to go to Aquaventure?

It's been several years since we took a Bahamas cruise, but I remember reading about some way to visit Aquaventure that involved booking a room for a day or something. It ended up being quite a bit cheaper than booking an excursion through Disney. I can't seem to find many references to this (and looking at the Atlantis website, it looks like rooms are a 2-day minimum, making it nearly the same cost as the Disney excursion). Does anyone know if this is still possible? If so, can someone mention some more details of how this works? Thanks!

We booked a room at Comfort Suites which is right across the street from Atlantis and had full privileges at Atlantis for the day. Easy peasy and saved us several hundred dollars.

Were you able to check into the hotel and access Atlantis early? I saw that check in is at 3 pm.

We have done it twice. We just do a check in and check out at the same time, there really isn't time to use the room. They know what you are doing and do not care. We were there by 10am both times. I even had Choice hotels points one year and got it for free. They do sometimes add the housekeeping fee, read the fine print, but still cheaper than through DCL. Plus so convenient to grab a cab when you want to get there.... and when you are done, there are a ton of cabs right at Atlantis to take you back.

Where do you see the 2 day minimum?? on the Choice hotels site? Maybe that is just certain times of the year??

Thank you! Sounds easy enough for sure! I think I will book a room for our date later this year.
The 2 day minimum was the post before my question at Atlantis.

When you checkin/checkout... walk down the hall past the rooms and out the BACK door. Atlantis is right across the street. Walk through the casino(kids are allowed) and to the main lobby, follow signs for The Dig. May have changed, but they were giving the wrist bands down by the Dig. Visible from the main lobby of Atlantis. The first time I did it, I was a mom alone with a 7 and 9 year old, so if I can do it, anyone can!

We did this last November and it was very simple. Saved us hundreds of dollars booking the room at Comfort Suites. We checked in/out at the same time. Walked across the street and we were in. Cabs are $4pp each way. Would definitely do again.

I just tried booking it for one day on our visit in December and it said nothing was available, but when I chose 2 days it gave me availability. Is there a way to book for just one day?

Sure did.

"Sorry, there are no rooms available on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 for 1 night."

That's strange...I only booked for one night. Try calling the hotel directly.
