Again, you might want to try these questions on the appropriate boards for quicker responses. This looks like a great post for the Transportation board!

When do you leave? When is it safe to come back to the Community Board? Is the Community Board now a trip planning board? I thought that's why the other boards existed. Can anyone answer my questions?

sorry - im looking for answers quick - just had the 11/30 cruise cancelled on me! any help is appreciated

There are some special rates for towncars for DisCon. Since you'll be able to be part of that maybe you can take advantage of those rates. Check the DisCon board.

You have to FIRST decide if you want a car at WDW. We prefer to have one because we often venture outside to SeaWorld, IOA, etc. If you plan to stay exclusively at the Disney Parks, hotels, then a simple towncar transfer may be all that you need.

We've always had good results with Mears shuttle. You'll find them right outside after you pick up your luggage. If you are only going to be at DisneyWorld you really don't need a car. I think Mears is $25 round trip and $17 for children. My son, daughter in law and two of our grandsons will be at Riverside for the upcoming holiday, and they are using Mears. :D

how do i contact mears? i think we may go the budget route this time cos we werent planning on this wdw trip. we are dvc'ers so know we will be back

Were you just trying to kid around, or were you really being rude?

Unless you're doing other non-Disney things, I think a shuttle or towncar would be the cheaper route. For the number of people you have, it looks like Mears would be close to $70. For just a little more (I think going rate is $80-$90) you can get a town car all to yourselves, and I think Tiffany offers a free 30 min. grocery stop. Also, check the website to see if they have any online coupons.

I know this is a budget trip for you, maybe what you could do is use the grocery stop to get some snacks and drinks, and maybe a few simple breakfast items, which will save you money in the long run?

The Community Board allows ANY topic to be posted, within the board guidelines. The Community Board is not topic specific. Many people post topics here that may be more topic specific for another DIS board, but since the Community Board has such a large viewing, generally more responses on almost any topic can be received here, and certainly within a short period of time. There are park questions, recipes, resort, restaurtant and transporation questions. Rumors, CM questions, Disneyland and Universal. As a non specific board, any question, within guidelines, though maybe boring and immaterial to some individuals, should be able to be posted with comfort.
