Cheapest Deluxe

WL and AKL are the least expensive, although they have really increased in price in the last year or so. Sometimes with a good general public code you can get these two for under $200.

If you're willing to stay in a standard room in the Garden Wing, the Contemporary is also relatively inexpensive. (Notice I said RELATIVELY!!!! :lmao: )

Leaving the Animal Kingdom and Wilderness Lodges out of the equation, the Magic Kingdom resorts cost more than the Epcot area resorts. And while the Polynesian, Contemporary and Grand Floridian all have different pricing structures for the most basic room type, a standard room will be exactly the same price at all of the Epcot area resorts. (Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk)

Amongst Disney owned hotels, WL & AKL as previously mentioned. In the Epcot area, very good deals can be had at the Swan & Dolphin (especially if you're a teacher or nurse!)

I agree.

The Swan/Dolphin offen has great rates that cost about as much as a Disney Moderate.

They are real 4 star hotels.

Deluxe but not as expensive as Disney's deluxe resorts.

The heavenly beds are ...well heavenly.

The Grotto pool and hot tubs are fun and relaxing.

Plus Epcot and MGM are just a short boat ride or walk away!

From Epcot hop on the monorail and head on over to the MK!

Have fun at Disney wherever you choose to stay!:wizard:

Another vote for the Swan and Dolphin. You can also get an outstanding rate if you belong to AAA. Great location. :cool2:

Correct me if I am wrong, but the Sawn/Dolphin do no allow you to be part of the Disney Dining Plan.

If that holds true, that is a huge negative to thsoe two resorts for many people.

No need for correction. You're absolutely right. They don't participate in the Disney Dining Plan. Nor do they offer Magical Express. You also can't charge to the room.

Not to impune these resorts - because they are BEAUTIFUL! Just something for folks who depend on those few things to consider.
