Cheapest days to fly??

What days of the week are the least busy and cheapest to fly?? Thanks!

Usually the cheapest days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Monday morning and friday afternoons are chock full of business travelers so there typically aren't many bargains to be found -- why charge less for a seat a company will pay more for?

i agree.. leaving on a sat.or sunday, i have found cost also. midweek.. tho i am flying out friday afternoon and returning on monday and found a good rate with SW ( internet rate that u have to grab when they are still available )

usually TU or WED..some searches can look at a whole month to find the cheapest flights. I like www.itasoftware.com and www.sidestep.com Good Luck

My husband decided our next trip in Aug 2006 will be Sunday to Sunday...... Well, flights home from Orlando on a Sunday can be high... I jumped on $178 Rt (plus tax) JFK to Orlando, because that Sunday return is a killer!

I like to book air early and then stop worrying about it.

Historically, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday are the cheaper days to fly...depending on your whole itinerary and travel dates of course. Avoid Sunday, Monday or Friday as the usual rule.

I fly Fridays and Mondays all the time (Song) and not expensive at all. I don't think there is any set rules anymore.
