cheapest day to travel

Hi,

I think in general it will be slightly cheaper to travel midweek rather than at weekends ( some weekend supplements may apply.).Also the few days before a Bank Holiday weekend may see higher prices.

Your experience may vary of course

Maybe what you are thinking of, is that Virgin used to offer a discount (think it was £50) off of flights that left on Tuesdays. Thats going back a bit now though, and I think its loooong gone.

Ive been pricing up Virgin flights on a variety of dates and the prices remain the same even at weekends (off peak times though). If you flick through some brochures like Airtours, First Choice, Jetsave etc, they sometimes offer discounts on certain dates, but their prices always seem inflated to start with anyway.

I've been looking at flight prices for next year and found prices for Sunday and Mondays tend to be cheaper, rising to the highest prices on Friday and Saturday.
